Hi there!!!

Please can someone help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My step daughter has just had a gorgous little baby girl. My other half and have been talking about what to get them for Christmas ......
Step daughter said she could do with a nappy bag amongst other bits.....

Now I need help... I have never ever had children so have no idea what makes a good nappy bag thingy :-)

Looking to spend in the region of £20-£30 Cheaper if I can get away with it (so i can buy more other bits :)

Mummy is 20 years old and rather fashionable if that helps :-)

Thank you in advance!!!

    Hi, congratulations!

Do you have a TKMaxx nearby? They normally have quite a good selection of attractive changing bags at quite reasonable prices (as well as cute outfits for bubs ;))

Tbh, I've just got the Boots freebie bag, but I can't be accessed of being fashionable :o What you should look for though is something nice and spacious, as it needs to fit in nappies, wipes, spare outfit in case of accidents, and if she uses a dummy/ bottles it should have internal pockets for holding them. Some have a change mat included, but some don't, which may be something to look out for. Hope that helps.

I have the Oioi ruched bag in black, it is fab, looks like a normal handbag but has loads of pockets andcomeswith change mat and bottle insulator but it is £70. I've not seen any nice cheap ones TBH.

  • I have the Babymel Amanda Zipper which I love, though it was £50. Tiny Tillia bags appear to be quite similar and are cheaper (you can find them in Argos and Amazon that I've noticed so far)

    Important bits for me were:

    1. had to be usable as both a change bag and a handbag (no chance I am carrying 2 bags around the place!) so a mummy pocket or two is invaluble (I keep my diary and purse in the front 2 pockets)
    2. it needed to have multiple pockets for storing dummies, bibs, muslins, nappy change items, spare set of clothes
    3. had to have space for a change mat (bought one as didn't like the one that came with it
    4. Ideally wanted an insulated bottle pocket though I do have another one which clips onto the bag or pram
    5. Big thing for me was the ability to attach it to my buggy (I really like the Babymel stroller straps, very secure)
    Hope that helped some

I think JJ Cole have a gorgeous range of changing bags and accessories. I have a large changing bag (rarely used) and a diaper pod (taken everywhere on a daily basis).

    Bag: http://www.amazon.co.uk/JJ-Cole-Mode-Changing-Cocoa/dp/B001O85DKO/

    Pod: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001Q3LB62/

The diaper pod has room for about 6 nappies (or equivalent volume in clothing), travel wipes, nappy bags and changing mat (comes with the pod). It's my favourite "baby" item and I would highly recommend it.

    Hi,

My little boy is 9 months old now. I got the free Boots one, which was fine to start off with but i found i needed more pockets. I hunted around but was disappointed with the price of a decent bag. In the end i found a fantastic bag on ebay. It is a Samsonite Sammies Changing Bag - the over the shoulder type, not the rucksack, and mine is the penguin design. I wouldn't say they are fashionable, but definately funky and good fun. Do an eBay search and have a look, the designs on there at the moment are penguin, giraffe, ladybird and turtle.
