HDMI problem with power cut on Panasonic Viera Plasma when connected to Sky Box

Anyone come across this problem - We had an electrical fault Monday and Tuesday which was repaired Wednesday - After which the panasonic viera plasma would not work nor would sky - the sky engineer called today replaced the box which was clearly not working - new box not working with this tv but with others - seems to be a hdmi problem - cannot plug in ps3 using hdmi at the front of the tv either but can watch dvds using av connectors - have contacted several tv repair firms but they have not come across this problem nor have the panasonic repair people panasonic referred me to - would like any useful advise pls -

A power surge from your electrical problem may have damaged or disrupted your HDMI coket. Panasonic should be the first port of call but failing that you may wish to look at the support sectiopn of their website and see if there is any updated firmware for your TV. The firmware is the software that drives it and installing a new version will wipe the current settings (picture settings, custom channel names etc). A long shot but it might be worth a go.
I assume the TV is no longer under warranty? If it is get an engineer out to have a look.
