JSA - can I appeal this warning?

I wasn't aware of this until I was informed this morning:
September 7th - made claim for JSA online
September 9th - I received phone call to go over my form and book an appointment to see an adviser
September 14th - Appointment to see adviser. I was told to sign on 2 days later. I was also given a bit of information regarding a potential suitable job.
September 16th - signed on and was given a warning because apparently, I hadn't done enough in 2 days to look for work. In those 2 days, I contacted the company who was advertising the job given to me by my adviser. I also mentioned in my booklet that I had planned to go to the companys' open day to get more information.
Today, I was told I hadn't done enough to prove that I'm looking for work. It would be sent to a DM and I would hear something tomorrow.
Can I appeal the warning I was given on the 16th? If so, how? I have to do 3 things a week and in those 2 days, I did 2 of them.

When you say :I contacted the company who was advertising the job given to me by my adviser.
Did you actually apply for the job the adviser gave you?
If you did, then yes apply.
If you didn't, I cant see a an appeal issue?
Unless I am misunderstanding?

Yes I did apply for the job. Well, I attended the open day and then assessment that followed. I am now waiting to be told whether I have that job.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Well then do you have any proof, can you request it from the company you applied for?

This looks like they're stopping everyone's benefit whether you can prove you're actually looking for work or not,
They have nothing to lose, as you can't appeal the first 2 weeks that they stop.0 -
your claim would have been taken from the 7th so that is the period that should have been covered on your ES4 (diary)as you would be signing on and claiming benefit for the period 7th to the 16th so the adviser is right to take action on the evidence that was put in front of her as you only put one job/step. what you need to do is list all the things you did between the 7th and the 16th in a letter and ask them to forward that to the Decision Maker to back up you claim. The funny thing in all this nonsense from the job centre to claim the pittance to live on is the fact that there are no jobs out there to be had!! even those that are fully fit and healthy are struggling to find solid substantive employment given the current economic climate and its going to get much much worse over the next year.It is pure nonsense to have the booklet and all the stupidity that goes with it,it is truly creating needless stress for people that are already vulnerable and at their lowest mentally so why create unrealistic goalposts for them and threaten them with loss of money through no good reason.Someone who is out of work and fit and healthy will be doing what they can to find work given that the meagre amount they are given is at best keeping them in poverty so why compound the misery with such crazy rules.Loyal to those deserving!!.0

my husband lost his job 6 weeks before xsmas, An i tell you i lived in fear of our job seekers being taken away, Not through any think we did. My husband was applying for loads of jobs, puting cv out ,agencys .
Thankfully he started a job monday. right place right time.
any way he was given a job buy an adviser ,job says must have exsperiance he had none, Told still apply ,so he phones up they so no exsperiance cant take it any further.so they dont give him an address to send a cv .Well whot happens when my husband is not on the list of recieved cv . May be sanction because you cant prove you have applied is the guy gonna remember my husbands name i think not.
Its not pleasent being on jsa , but if you have paid in to the system for years, and in a time of crises in need you should not be treated as a scrouger . Most people want to work but there arn't the jobs.

Yes thank you. I signed off not long after as I had a temporary job and when that finished, went back on to JSA. My sign on day was the day after I'd had that initial interview thing. This time, the adviser said nothing about how much I'd done in terms of job hunting.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
