My mum helped to set up the South Side Credit Union, it's based on the Silkmore Estate, I think it's still at the Silkmore partnership Shop on Sidney Avenue.

He works in Staffordshire so maybe it's just me not reading it right... hmmm

Oh well I figured it was worth a shot - the search engine is rubbish - I meant it might be you were in different catchments for work and home.

An expert, so any idea how you find a local one for someone in Staffs. It just seems 25% + interest is excessive if there's any other way.

I haven't a clue really I'm afraid, it's been 4 or 5 years since she was involved. I'm pretty sure there's no others in the area though, the council didn't give them much backing, despite the fact it was (I have no idea how it's doing now) a very good job on one of the poorest estates in the area.

Well you were right about the birth plan, I told her I was in denial that I was going to have to give birth and she laughed and said I wouldn't be able to deny it TOO much longer lol!

I've been feeling dizzy and exhausted, and have found out my blood pressure is a bit low and so is my iron count - so does that mean I need spinach and more stress????? :D It explains a lot though, and I'm feeling relieved and much more upbeat now. I've got a letter from the hospital about arranging a preliminary physio session too, so that will help with the SPD.

I've got to go to the midwife every 2 weeks from now on, so I'm properly on the slippery slope towards having a new baby now....no going back!

Feeling better today and my sore throat is clearing up and I can talk and swallow fairly normally today. Thank god! I hate being ill!.
Kaitlyn slept from 11ish til 5.30 again this morning before coming into bed with us and sleeping until 6.30/7 again. She did wake up at 3.30 but drifted back off. She's doing so well bless her.
Today is toddler group day but I really just don't feel like going. I always end up being sat on my own in the corner trying to watch Ashli and Kaitlyn at the same time with noone talking to me and I really can't be bothered. I feel bad though as it'll be letting Ashli down because she loves it there. Oh I don't know. Will see how I feel later.

Did a calculator on the BBC website to see how the budget would affect us and apprently we'd be £402 better off next year which works out about £33 a month. Whether it happens or not remains to be seen. Most of it seems to be from increase in tax credits and child benefit, as everything else like car tax and fuel are going up. Ah well. Who believes anything that's in the budget anyway.

Anyway will stop rambling on. Time to check out the internet banks and things. Good news though the race for life fundraising is up to £158.22!

    Morning IA

I have to admit I never enjoyed the mother and toddler groups, but went because they enjoyed it, I plucked up courage and asked a neighbour with a little one the same age to go with me, she was pleased I had asked as she didn't have friends with kids either.

Have you tried going to a different one perhaps, my mum used to help out in one and if a mum was on her own they would always make sure she was introduced to the others. You might find after you have been a few times you will get to know familiar faces.

Hope you have a good afternoon anyway

    Morning all.
I did take Ash to toddlers yesterday. It was really quiet but Ash still loved it. I spoke to a couple of mums but only as their children were trying to claw K's eyes out or steal her dummy. Ah well. Who needs friends?
Kaitlyn did the same again last night, had a 6oz bottle at 11.30, in bed at 12, slept through til 5.30 without waking up, came into bed with us went straight back to sleep then slept til 8!! She's doing so well but tonight I'm going to try giving her a dummy when she wakes up instead of getting her into bed with us as I don't want her to get to used to sharing our bed! She still settles herself off to sleep when we put her to bed which is great. Hopefully she'll start sleeping through properly soon.
Fed up of waiting for March to end now. Feels like we're in a kind of debt limbo because we can't save anything towards dorothy perkins because we don't know what Ste's wages are going to be. I'm trying not to let it worry me too much as we'll have near enough £200 saved at the end of the month to cover any deficit.. I just hope it's enough otherwise we're going to be struggling again. Will have to wait and see. I don't know why but things have seemed really tight recently even though we've cut out loads of bills and paid loads of debts, keep a spending diary and everything...
