Oh my, I've not been around for a few days, yours is the first thread I've caught up on and I'm feeling all mushy already

Toto you're a star and IA, I cant think of anyone more deserving of having nice things happen to them.

Not sure how many more threads I can read, if they're all as lovely as this

Oh hush you lot, you make me sound like a saint or something. Every last one of you would have done the same if you had more than plenty of drum kits in the house. But thank you x

Good news IA, I have found the amp, the power supply and a stool (few paint splatters but all pro drummers need a battered stool. It's all in my hallway good to go.

Morning all... WHAT A DAY we had yesterday!!!! Had a hectic morning getting the girls ready and sorting the car out. My mate picked them up at 11.... we set off for Toto's at about 11.10.... Directions were pretty simple.. M6 then M1 for the majority of the way but we decided to get the m6 toll because the normal m6 is a bloody nightmare at the best of times... lol.. £4 a pop on the toll!!!! Anyway, the majority of the journey was simple.. just motorway the whole way UNTIL we hit traffic and decided to take a detour..
So what should've been a 2 hr journey ended up with us getting to Toto's for about 3!!! lol!! Ste is such a stress head when he doesn't know where we are....:wall:
Toto and her daughter were lovely and we had a cuppa as Toto regailed us with her exciting musical adventures and star spotting... :D I want your job toto!!! then again I'd probably go insane working that hard!!! And HOW MUCH kit have you got????? LOL! You'd be millionaires if you sold that lot! It was only a shame that we couldn't stay longer but because we'd gotten a bit lost we were seriously running late and my mate was supposed to be dropping the girls off at 4.30!! Lol.. luckily MIL came to the rescue and we set off from Toto's about 3.30...
I'm glad to say that the journey back was MUCH smoother than the journey down... even if we went south to get to the M1 instead of north so ended up by the m25.. It's all good fun though :) With one petrol stop we got home at 6... total round trip... 300 miles!!!
Needless to say I was totally wired from all the motorway driving and have a banging headache today lol..
Last night we had planned for Ste to meet the singer of the band who was going to come round to have a play about with Ste on the kit, then we were going to have some dinner then go out but instead we decided to stay in and he came to ours for dinner and beer. We had a really nice evening and he and Ste got on really well.. we even had a 3 way guitar hero tournament... of which I remain undefeated on Killing in the Name by rage against the machine... ha! Girl power! lol! I took him home about 1 and got home myself about 1.30 and crashed out in bed.. lol... The girls were really good considering they'd had a strange day being passed from pillar to post too...

Anyway.. THE KIT... OH MY GOD it's amazing and Steve is in love..... he's downstairs playing on it as we speak playing with all the settings and things... I think we're still in shock that we've been given such an amazing bit of kit by such a kind person who'd never even met us before... Toto.. you are a star and I think if I hadn't already nabbed Ste he may have married you himself! lol!..
She also gave us a BEAST of an amp which we've got to get a power lead for today but my god it's massive...300W!!! It's going to be perfect for me to use for the band and I really can't thank you enough Toto! Right I'd better go take some pics!! :D
