I'm glad of an excuse to do not very much actually, I'm feeling really rough, Natasha is a bit poorly I think, throwing up quite a bit and doing 'exploding nappies', plus my spd is still playing up and I'm really stiff and sore. So I'll just sit here and rest I think! :D

Can sympathise with the SPD, mine took a good 6 weeks to feel better but I still sometimes get twinges and things now like if I try to push a door open with my foot or carry too much...

Was hoping to hear good news, both job and ebay front.. I will log on later for an update. good point about the paypal thing. don't transfer the money. where does your buyer live. Send a DFW round to his house to spy and see if he is playing on the game, through the window.

Trying desperately to see my screen, thank god for three days off to give my poor old eyes a rest!

    Here you go....
    Equal Opportunities Policy
I recognize that it is essential to provide equal opportunities to all parents and children in my care without discrimination. This policy sets out my position on equal opportunities in all aspects of my service, and provides clarification to parents about what I do to prevent discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, marital status, disability (as defined by the Disability Discrimination Act 1995), age, sexual orientation or religion.
Discrimination can be direct or indirect. Both forms of discrimination must be avoided.
Direct discrimination occurs when one person is treated less favourably than another on grounds relating to sex, race, marital status, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion.
Indirect discrimination occurs where a requirement is imposed which can be complied with by a smaller proportion of persons of a particular sex, race, marital status, disability, age,, sexual orientation or religion, than persons in another group and which is not objectively justifiable in the given situation. For example, organizing an outing where the destination is unsuitable for wheelchair users, and no research was done into the suitability for all children wishing to attend.
It is my policy that no parent of child should receive less favourable treatment on the grounds of sex, race, marital status, disability, age, sexual orientation or religion, or is disadvantaged by conditions or requirements that cannot be shown to be justifiable. I am committed not only to my legal obligations but also to the positive promotion of equality of opportunity in all aspects of my care and in what I teach the children.
I recognize that adhering to these policies and practices, I will in turn maximize the understanding and respect for others in the child’s life and increase their knowledge and understanding of the world around them. I recognize the great benefits in the children having a diverse experience with different disabilities, backgrounds and cultures, and how this may help them through their life.
The children will be encouraged to ask questions and will be given honest answers, and not answers based on prejudices or false impressions. The children will be encouraged to realize that everyone is the same and just because they may act, look, or speak differently, it doesn’t mean that that person is any less important or able to do something than they are. If any potentially hurtful comments are heard during play I will take it upon myself to take the child to one side and explain why such comments can be hurtful to others and why we must be kind to everyone.
If you feel that you or your child have been treated unfairly or discriminated against, please feel free to talk to me. If you wish to see a copy of my complaints procedure, then please don’t hesitate to ask.
