Do you know anyone looking for childcare
When my DD and DS were little I had the space but was working would have done naything to have someone come to my house and look after them some of the time (Just so they remembered that it was their home and not a hotel:rotfl: )
If not go look around, see whats out there you cirtainly sound like you have your head on, your younger than most on here and yet continuously beat us hands down on the challenges (I'm sure you can do whateve you put your mind to)
Also if you decide not to work try local firms and see if there is any homework going , light assembly type stuff that you can do infront of the TV, assembling christmas crackers, fancy boxes, etc.

IA I have no doubt that you will acheive so much in that 3 months - just look what you've done already whilst being heavily pregnant!
Personally, there is so little in it that I would want to stay at home with my babies! My mother did and I really think it did us both good! And now she has a successful career which she has got on track with after my brother and I went to school. I totally agree about the childminding - that would certainly help!
Good luck girl, I know you can do it! x0 -
crikey IA - I've just looked at your figures and you'd be going back to work for 15 quid a month if youre right!!!!
I'd seriously consider your options = remember littlies grow up really fast and you cant get that time back.
good luck with whatever you decide. Your girls are so beautiful.

Today I've looked through the money and I can say for definate that both the BT bill AND citi card will be paid off at the end of the month. Have had to move £44 from our normal bank account so that we've got every penny covered when all the tax credits and child benefit have gone in... and it means that we don't have to stress about saving money out of the weekly budgets as much but anything we DO save will be a bonus and can go towards the next one. Also we will hopefully be getting a bit of extra cash as I called up tax credits with our recent payslips to update our annual income and because of my maternity leave we're a good 2k under what we estimated for our annual income... so fingers crossed we should get a nice back payment as well as another increase in tax credits. Fingers crossed anyway and we should get our new award notice early next week.
It's mad to think that even though my car tax is due this month, we've had a massive bt bill :mad: we're still able to pay all those AND be able to pay off my citi card in full without eating bread and butter for the forseeable future LOL!!! Goes to show that our hard work is paying off!
Roll on 28th Feb!!!!!!!!:beer::j :T

Recieved my mothercare card statement today showing nil balance! Wooooo! No mention of the account being closed though so will have to write to them to close it by the looks of it. But either way it's officially gone. Hurrah!!!
On a non-money front today we've had a breakthrough in the Ashli/Kaitlyn relationship... Ashli's been giving K loads of kisses today! Awwwww.....Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Hi IA, Just a little note to ask whether you have looked into the tax credits implications if you stop working? Does it still get paid? I'm no expert in this field, but my understanding is that if you claim working tax credit then that stops if you are not working at least 16 hours per week and using an approved child care option. (not sure if this is right tho). Is anyone else more knowledgeable about this than me?Proud to have dealt with my debts. Nerd number 288:j Debt free date Dec 07 :EasterBun
