Well we just offered K her first bowl of baby rice (1 spoon rice to 10 milk) and except for the stuff that went all down her front she wolfed the lot! She really liked it and seemed to want more!! If she's not sick I'm going to offer her another bit before her bed bottle tonight.... :D

    Woo ooo:T :T

    Hi IA
Against all the rules & def not what the HV recommended, but then she wasn't the one getting up every 2 hours every bl00dy night.

Um yeah that was my way of thinking too;) Hungry baby milk from about a month old here and then baby rice at 3 months on the dot. I think I might have gone insane had I waited any longer:eek: Ihave to say once we got all that out of the way he became a perfect angel of a baby, of course now he is two....

    I've been Money Tipped!
    hi ia

dont worry about using the debt fund to buy stuff for your kids a lot of your debt fund is made up from child benfit and child tax credit so spending a bit of it on your kids is only right as the money is to help pay for the things they need and most kids needs toys every now and them

my health vistor told me not to feed my ds soilds untill he was six months old he was screaming all the time and wanted feeding every 1 to 2 hours i just couldnt keep up with all the bottles i had to clean and make so i took him to my gp thinking there must be somthing really wrong with him as he couldnt go longer than two hour with out food and my gp said it was unrealistic to keep him of soilds untill he was six months and to go home and give him some food which i did and he just loved it and was a different child he went from moany face g*t to a happy smileing baby starting sleeping longer and was a lot happier for it so just listen to your own judgement you have allready rasied one baby with out ill effect so trust yourself
i cant slow down i wont be waiting for you i cant stop now because im dancing

    Hi IA
Don't forget to keep the receipts for the toys, if the childminding gets going you will be able to offset it against any tax as play equipment:D :D

My HV told me no solids before 6 months (it used to be 4 months!), altho sleeping isnt a problem for my DS atm. My friend however has just started giving her DS baby rice to help him sleep at night, and he's only 11 weeks old. My ex MIL also told me that she gave my ex solids at 2 DAYS old because he wouldn't take milk.... Just goes to show no baby is the same!

Good luck with the rice I-A, I hope it works (for some reason I always feel guilty that my DS sleeps thru :o )

K had some more baby rice after her 8pm bottle. Again she ate the lot although it took her a while as she's not quite worked out how to coordinate her tongue to move the food around so she can swallow but she loves it and looks for more after each spoon.... Going to carry on tomorrow and see how she gets on. She's in bed at the moment after having settled herself off to sleep BY HERSELF upstairs..... :D
