If you're only £30 short, why not just take it out of Stes wages that are next paid on May 31st. That way you've still met your goal.0

three words: eBay, eBay, eBay!
do you really need to spend £20 on a wedding present either? someone offered you some wrap, you could make a card with the girls hand prints on or something, or a picture of the couple and get a pressie for much cheaper... what about a copy of the wedding day newspaper in a cheap (but nice!) frame?
Also, when is the wedding? Have you thought about money you'll be spending there on drinks etc?0 -
Hi Angel
I thought I would read your thread as everyone raves about out! So far I've got up to the birth.... I didn't think she was ever going to arrive!
I'll keep reading the rest, but thought I'd pop a quick reply here. You are very inspiring and you show that you really can beat the debt.
It's good to see the little goals, I have a store card I'll be able to pay off next pay day and I'm really excited about it. Your right sometimes it helps to get rid of the little things and give yourself a boost.
Well done and keep sharing your tips, your a great read and thanks for letting us share!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Lucy just want to say a massive thank you. I didn't realise that everyone was raving about my diary and I do apologise that it's getting rather long! I guess I must ramble on a lot.. lol. Great news about the store card. :T I know everyone goes on about paying off higher interest first but TBH I think we wouldn't have gotten this far doing it that way.. as tackling the little ones first (Although they didn't seem very little at the time!) has made us see exactly how much progress we've made and it's kept us motivated being able to tick them off one by one.
I'm glad you've enjoyed reading my diary!
I'm off to find some stuff to ebay!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

I have to admit I've started my own diary, if for no other reason than I can ramble away to my hearts content!!
I only have about £28 left on this store card so it's easy to get rid of, the next one has a balance of about £425 (plus any interest  ) but it has an APR of 24.9 % not my finest hour. That's the next one.
But you are very inspirational and I'll keep dropping in to see how your doing, hopfully it'll keep me motivated to.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
how about popping over to the celebrations board (was the christmas one) and ask for some ideas for cheap wedding gifts. You could make a romantic hamper for example, or oh I don't know, I'm rubbish, but they're really creative over there and make the most fab looking stuff for no money.
I'm glad you're feeling better today, remember not to over do it though, you might feel better but you still need to relax a little so you don't get over tired again.:A

Hi IA,
Not been at a PC for several days, so just been catching up! Glad the gig was good - it's always slightly worrying when you've been looking forward to something for so long whether it will live up to expectations!
Sorry to hear you've been having a rough time with the girls not sleeping etc, and hope it's getting back onto an even keel now. One thing friends of mine with babies have raved about is baby massage - there's various books around & you can do it with regular olive oil, and they found it really calmed the little 'uns down before going to bed.
You're doing amazingly well, and a complete inspiration to us all!Total Debt 13th Sept 2006 (exc student loan): £6240.06
