Can you transfer a number out and keep a contract going?
Good morning.
Wonder if anyone can answer this question. I'm currently with O2 and have a number I've had for near ten years which I want to keep.
However, I've just treated myself to a smart phone. My current contract is a bit pants for data and O2 don't seem to offer anything good.
Is it possible to keep the contract going on O2 and transfer the number out? Or will a number transfer just mean I have to pay the contract off?

If you transfer your number out (PAC) to another supplier - your current contract will be ended as soon as the new supplier 'accepts' the number.
You would need to pay up your existing contract, get PAC and give to new supplier.

Why don't you put the SIM in your new phone and add a data 'Bolt On'.
Or you can ask nicely the CSR to add it onWas this post useful to you? Feel free to click the thanks button--¬ :beer:0
