Do a few miles for me & I'll drink a cup of coffee for you - that's a fair exchange isn't it :)

Well I'm drinking a cappuchino (don't ask what I'm doing awake this early on a Sunday), so that's got to be worth a couple of extra miles on top... ;)

That suits me nicely, guys - as long as the coffee/running balance is achieved across the world somehow, it doesn't matter who does which bit, does it?

Paper round done, and just having another quick coffee and a bowl of porridge before I meet runchum at 8.30.....it is a beautiful morning out there, although cold, so am looking forward to it.

I have only run once (on the treadmill, so not even on the road) since Sunday's 7.5 miles.....and I should be doing a lot more really - only 7 weeks to go until Marathon day

If I get between 10 and 14 done today I will be happily back on track.....if I do less than 10, I will have to ask myself whether I am motivated enough to do the full distance, and that is not something I want to have to do.

So......trainers on, see you guys at lunchtime ish!!!

Well, I told you my colleague is doing it and hasn't tried running outside yet  - so I'm sure you'll be fine. You are fit enough, it just starts to get very boring doesn't it?

    See you later!

I needn't have worried - it was beautiful out there, and I completed my 14 miles without too much problem. The lanes were rather wet and muddy from all the rain we have had recently, with a load of yuck washed down off the fields, but apart from that, it was gorgeous!

Sunshine, birds singing, and marathon training pretty much where it should be for this point in the year I think.....

I'll be happy enough with that!

    Shower beckons now though!!!

it really was a lovely morning to be out there - runchum did 10 miles and knocked about 30 seconds per mile off her last run, so that was a really good bonus all round, and then I carried on and did the last 4 miles on my own at my own pace, which was good to round things off.

And, having doubted my commitment to the running recently, I am glad that I have proved to myself that I still want to run that far!

And as for life - yes, am enjoying it :D

Right, am going to do have a coffee - it is lovely in my house with the sun streaming through the windows - and then do a couple of hours pottering ready for the week ahead.
