As for the gin, I'm thinking of making my own sloe gin when I can find some sloe/damson berries. It seems really, really easy (big bottle with berries + sugar + cheap gin in), but I don't know where to get them. Any suggestions, peeps? (I'm in the Greater Manchester area, if that's any help to any locals. )

As it is too late for Sloes how about Raspberry Gin Tried some at a craft fair a couple of weeks ago and it was yummy. I am assuming it is done in pretty much the same way but you don't need to !!!!! the raspberries like you do the sloes IYSWIM

I found a jar of blackberry vodka in the cupboard when we were packing.....that'll be pretty potent by now, so will be very careful choosing when it is consumed!!

thank you wordsmith....yes, the last few years have taught me an awful lot, and the last 12 months have taught me even more. I will definitely be thinking about what I want in the future, and enjoy going out there and achieving it while I can x
