Well done on today. It can't have been easy to muster the energy with a cold. Everyone I know is suffering at the minute with a cold that won't shift.
The upside is that hopefully it'll be gone before Christmas. Perhaps give the running a miss and have a few early nights? (knows I'm talking to myself :p)

I can't see myself running much over the next few days anyway, mac....so I will give myself a bit of a chance to get well. I'd rather like it to be gone by the weekend, so if the snot fairies are listening, can they please come and take my cold right away in the next couple of days???

I don't know if I was "sensible" on my work night out - I certainly drank a huge amount.....but I guess the fact that I got myself up and about fairly early on Saturday morning meant I didn't have *time* to be hungover!

I do know that I will be having a few days without alcohol now - I think I need it :o
I do find for me that burning the calories quickly the next morning, seems to help get rid of the hangover effect. But admittedly getting out of the bed first isn't the easiest thing to do :o

P.S. Currently looking slightly Rudolph ish, but not a 'snot fairy' attack in full flow yet. I love the idea of 'snot fairies' :)

OK the name of 'snot fairies' not the experience

A night off sounds perfectly reasonable, especially with a cold.

There's always the Scottish play by Mr W Shakespeare, starring Sir Patrick Stewart on BBC4.

Thanks for the top short-bird, I watched some of it*, would never have known it was on otherwise. Am feeling quite cultured now :)

    * after the X Factor final obviously, didn't want to get carried away :rotfl:

Well done on the filling of the second skip and boxing up more "stuff". I hope your cold clears up soon.
Have done my hip in somehow. It has been a lot better this week but we were driving today to the Chilterns for a walk but sitting in the car set off the pain again so we turned round and settled for a walk in our local (rather magnificent) ancient woodlands.

No more tax boxes de-cluttered but we have done most of the Xmas cards.

Have a good week Hypno and I hope this is the one where exchange takes place.

maty, yes I am happy with the X factor result - Rebecca is very good though, so I would have been happy had she won too.

Had night nurse last night so feeling rather bleurgh this morning. Why, despite copious amounts of vaseline being applied do I still have chapped lips? Bah!!!

The cough has started, though, so at least it is all working its way through.

I can't believe that next week is Christmas week!! Really do need to get myself in the mood for that one.....everything is so odd with moving etc that Christmas has just been put right at the back of my "must do" list :o

I hope you all have a good week - V, take care of that hip.
