This was in the north, heading east to west and quite low in the sky, at around 5.30pm. I wonder how many other people saw it

Why oh why oh why......does a sore throat hurt sooo much! It is *only* a sore throat after all but this one developed yesterday late afternoon and kept me awake for most of the night - despite paracetamol AND ibuprofen, it is one of the worst pains ever!
But it is *only* a sore throat!!!
Ah well.....on with the day - tonight I have parents evening straight after work, then off for an Italian meal for someone's 50th at work. So a long day, but as long as this sore throat doesn't develop into a cold, it should be alright.
It was strange yesterday - every year I get my bonus, pay it off debt, and then mourn all the lovely things I could have bought instead, as my colleagues head out to the shops.
Yesterday, I banked my cheque and started to look round the shops and saw nothing that grabbed my attention......it really is true that when you *have* money, you think differently to when you don't!
It was definitely a case of "I could buy it if I wanted it, but I don't want to" rather than "I can't buy it". Nice feeling:rotfl:
