it was definitely just him in the whole time, i think he genuinely needed the toilet, wanted to have a bath and that was that. i dont see any need to be so suspicious!

Look, there was EVERY reason to be suspicious! Not many well adjusted people in full posession of their faculties (I'm trying to be politically correct here and not use the terms 'normal' or 'fruit & nut case!) would dream of asking a complete stranger, (late at night & when its dark) to let them into their house for any reason, never mind to use the toilet! And they most certainly wouldn't take a bath and have the brass neck to say it was their legal right.

What you did was let somebody who most certainly was not quite on the same planet as the rest of us into your house when you were alone and had absolutely no idea of what he was likely to do. It might have seemed a kind thing to do but I'm sure your family and friends would be furious with you and very concerned at your lack of common sense. If your tale isn't a wind up then you got off VERY lightly - it could all have ended up in disaster.

Don't assume everyone else is as kind/helpful as you seem to be - they aren't. We all tell our kids to be wary of strangers - you need to re-learn that lesson.

Which is why you posted on here absolutely cra**ing yourself. :rotfl:
and to the poster who suggested the visitor may have used OPs toothbrush to clean the toilet-the OP said he had left skids so cleaning would be unlikely to have happened :D

he seemed completely sober. don't think i'll tell my girlfriend about this, she'll go mental.

edit - why would i throw away the glass, it's just another person? anyway he only took a small sip, i'll just wash it as normal...?

the towel will go on a boil wash, it was the girlfriend's towel. i'm going to bed...this has freaked me out a bit.

Some surprises here, though perhaps it's just me...
    1. You have a girlfriend - I don't know why, but I'd assumed you were some niave young lass, daft enough to do this, rather than male.

2 You are probably right to assume she'll be cross, though 'mental' is a word I'd be wary of throwing around at the moment. Of all three people in this scenario, she sounds like the only well-adjusted one, and the questions I'm asking myself about the relationship she has with you are not ones I'll bother you with. I'll ask her when she gets in. Don't worry, I'm sure she'll be home soon.

    3. He used HER towel, and you're going to hide that from her?? One the one hand - wise move, if she's like your mum, hide, deny, avoid. Never admit you let a scary man into the house while she left you one your own. However, if my OH did that, and then I found out later, I'd not be very happy at all.

    4. I think we're all a little freaked, to be honest, by the things you've described. Well, freaked, astonished and astounded.

It's amazing the window this forum gives you into other people's lives.:rotfl:

Maybe the OP is a naive young lass-you never can tell...

I think I'd be more concerned that he might have used it in his mouth! OP, I hope you have got a new toothbrush you can use!!
