Utilita

I have just signed up with Utilita, which sounds great for key meter customers..however, I have now seen some reviews on line and now a little dubious...does anyone have any 'positive' reviews or should I cancel now?
Thanks..in anticipation

They are one of the most expensive companies out there.. I hope you looked at a comparison site before switching..Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0

The only reason i'm aware of them is that they are possibly the most expensive supplier listed on the comparison sites, you only get to see them if you do a show all results.
I'm not sure of the rates that apply with prepayment meters, but did once use Ebico who charge the same no matter how you pay, but there may well be better deals. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
very expensive indeed i'm afraid you have been had0

wow...thanks guys!...it all sounded to good to be true, expecially with not having to use a 'key' The prices sounded ok too but I will take your knowledge and cancel with the 14 day cool off. My neighbours have signed up for it too. As they say....if its too good to be true....then it probably is!
Thanks ...perhaps I am turning into one of those 'oldies' that get had.0 -
I signed a contract with Utilita for prepayment Gas/Electric and I found that they were cheaper than any other supplier for prepay in my area. (Hampshire)
They do also give you new meters which top up automatically when you pay at paypoint. I have found them really good.
Not sure about there normal direct debit though??0 -
ah..now I am confused as to where to go now!..just hate all these companies and their sales tactics. Appreciate your comments. I have a few days left to decide though.0

Put your details into a comparison site and see which comes out as the cheapest.0

Presumably you were duped by a cold caller if your neighbours switched too? Don't believe a word they say. Just use a comp site for evaluation and then switch via a cashback site.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
