Can anyone PLEASE help me?!
My boyfriend is currently with Orange - he has been for years, yet unlike 02, they are refusing to budge when it comes to his upgrade package.
He uses around 400 texts and 400 xnet mins and would, in an ideal world, like the SE K800i. Orange have offered him the phone for free and 2500 mins/500 texts for £30 a month. Alternatively they've said the phone will cost and they'll do him 500 mins/unlimited texts for £25...
Now being a longstanding 02 customer I don't think this is a very good deal, considering I got 500/500 for £17.50 per month with the LG Choccy for £50 as soon as it came out.
Has anyone any ideas? The only other company we can find is 3, but once their double mins/texts offer passes 3 months, it isn't enough and will wind up costing in excess of £35 a month.
Personally, i think he should move to 02, pay £35 a month for a year then he'll be eligible for better negotiations next year - but he doesn't see it that way!
Any suggestions welcome!

Ask for the Customer Relations Tariff, 18month contract, £30/month 1st 9 months then £35/month
2500 xnet mins, (500 anytime, 2000 off peak i think)
and unlimited sms tho peaktime might have a limit, check 1st.
Put his post code(s) into http://www.sitefinder.radio.gov.uk/frame_map.htm and see if Orange is his best option reception wise.0 -

Although not a heavy user, I wanted a new phone. I went to O2 via Quidco cos I hate faffing about with cashback. I got a Samsung D900 with bluetooth and 100 mins X net 500 txts for £25. I get £35 back through Quidco so the deal works out at £22 per month (I will never go over the allowance
ps By the way it's one of a very few 12 MONTH contracts I could find. I am a happy bunny "Did you hear about the frog that broke down on the motorway???? They toad him away!"0 -
Help - I am trying to join Quidco and cannot - no message of confirmation comes through .... I have entered the name on my safe list and still no joy. Also - because I am on orange and have poor reception a lot of the time I went on the site mentioned .... and although it told me there was 1 operator ... how do I tell if it is Orange??? Thank you0

!!!!!!, if you're boyfriend doesn't mind the three network and is not averse to cashback claiming, e2save's having the motorola c975 on a 400min 250txt tariff with 12mth's free after cashback. as for his fone, try buying the K800i from ebay or gumtree, as the price of this particular model is dropping pretty quick (i dunno why). it's currently btw £140-£180. Remember to go thru quidco if you're gonna sign up with e2save's deal as that means an additional £36.50
therefore....for the yr, he gets his phone of choice and 400min/250txt for approx £180 - £36.50 - £10 = £133.50 (I'm assuming the c975 can be resold for £10). This works out to be slightly more than £11p/m.0
