during the night i only need heating for my bedroom. will it be cheaper for me to buy a oil filled radiator rather than keep the central heating on all night?
thanks

What would be cheaper would be a higher tog duvet on your bed
Bedrooms shouldn't be heated through the night, its not healthy nor do you sleep properly. Cool room and warm bed is the rule
I have the heating timed for my parents bedrooms an hour before bed and an hour at getting up to take the cold on and make it comfortable enough that can get undressed0 -
thanks for reply.
was just thinking because i have a 10month old boy.0 -

The temp of the room still doesnt need to be above 18 with a baby in the room
Usually having the heating on before your bed time and timed to come on again early morning should keep the bedroom warm enough
When I was a baby there was never any heating in the bedrooms - and we all survived
My grandson survived here as well with no heating in the bedroom at night. Just a baby grow thingy and layers of fleeces. Now he wears an all in one suit during the winter and hes four0
