New Flat - Best TV/Broadband package??

Hi all,

I've just moved into a new flat and am wanting to get a TV/Broadband/Phoneline bundle and just wanted some advice/suggestions.

We've never had anything other than Freeview before so are completely new customers.

We have a sky feed in the building (only single which sucks that we can't watch one channel and record another but we can live with that). We don't have a cable hook up though.

We don't really need the sports channels and a basic TV package is fine (although if we can get Music & News channels that'd be good)

We also want broadband- ideally unlimited due to there being three of us. We have a phone line but I think it need reactivating.

Does anyone have any suggestions for the best packages to look out for? and also any offers for free boxes/ vouchers - or anything to reduce the cost?

I'm guessing it's Sky or BTVision but would like some help deciding!

Thanks!!

    Hello,

    BT Vision
    39.99 p/m + 9.49 line rental
    Unlimited Broadband, TV, Phone.

    Sky TV
    42.50 p/m including line rental
    Unlimited Broadband, TV, Phone.

Both packages come with your requested standard channels as well as music and news. Both also come with unlimited usage on Broadband.

Sky is a 12 month contract. BT is a 24 month contract.

In my personal opinion i would choose Sky. Not only because it is the cheaper option, but because of the choice of channels and the ease in the ability to upgrade/downgrade. You can actually get the Sky package cheaper than the £42.50 by removing certain entertainment channel packages.

The best thing you can probably do is play around on both the BT and Sky website and see what packages you can create.

    Good luck :)

Why so you want to pay for the basic package? why not just freeview/freesat? Check out the news/music channels that are on those should cover the requirements.
