    Afternoon all

    Tired mum (((Hugs)))

    Happy Anniversary to the Donnys

Bitsy - hope the dog is a little better, it is awful seeing them in pain as you feel so helpless!

Been a busy day at work today and it is freezing here. Can't seem to get warm even in the house. I can feel a draught in the house somewhere so am going to have to sort this out before the weather gets any worse. Need to get some of that brush type draught excluder for the cupboard under the stairs as I can feel it from there, used to have one of those long padded sausage type ones but unfortunately when Charlie was a little puppy he decided to test his teeth on it and ragged it to bits!!!

Day off tomorrow and I am going to get on top of the wrapping of Xmas presents. I seem to be quite organised so far this year, got an app for my iphone which lists everything ( I love lists!!!) and amounts spent so feel in control. Need to go to Morrisons either tomorrow or Friday to do my £40 spend (hopefully pick up some of the bargains they have on offer too)

Chilli (in slow cooker) and jacket potatoes for tea, nice and easy. Have a good evening all x

Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I had to do lots of uni work ready for my mock teaching assignment. And I'm so pleased I did cos I aced it :j:j:j:j:j I'm so pleased as I was a little nervous as I had chosen a topic I don't normally teach and hadn't had time to practise it. But I got really good feedback :D

The morning in work was interesting. 2 work kids turned up still drunk from night before  so we had to send them packing. 2 didn't turn up, and one waltzed in at half 11 - 2 hours late! They will be meeting angry flutterby tomorrow  :rotfl:

My car is playing up again :( The power steering is intermittent and I have a feeling it will be expensive to fix. I may have to look for a new car but not sure if I can afford it :(. At least I can use the work's minibus for time being.

I'm off to cwtch in on sofa and read trashy magazines :D

    Have a good evening all

ps I may be joining you all on the Kenwood !!!!!!, I'm looking at getting one this week :D

Well, back from visit to school number one.........we loved it! Nice new building, the DHT who showed us around was lovely, very informative, and fabulous with DS. Met a few of the teachers wh were lovely and also great with him, found out about their supported study programme, if he needs it, and all the extracurricular activities and groups. Very impressed, she also informed me that they are taking an increasing number of placing requests each year, which is also a good sign (we won't need on, we are in the catchment for this school). So we'll see what happens at next week's school. :)

Hope all the poorly parents dogs and friends are doing OK.

Redruby - Hope that little doggie is ok, whats the op for if you don`t mind me asking?

Thanks for good wishes everyone, little dog has a hernia in her bum, which does not allow her to empty her gland, so the vet has to do it every 5 weeks, they want to operate to mend the hernia.

The vet called me today to say that its very unusual in girl dogs, and the success rate of the op is 90% but the other 10% do not fair as well !!, she said that as little dog is very fit and well we could leave it and see how she is in 6 months, or go ahead and do it now, I am in 2 minds, I dont want to put her through the unnecessary pain of an op when she is so healthy now, but then I dont want her to get worse and be in pain !! will have to have a think.

Been to see dad, he was still confused, but I saw a glimpse of my old dad, he had roast beef for lunch, and told my mum it was the best roast he had ever eaten :rotfl:they have been married 48 years and she is an excellent cook :D, he is hopefully coming home friday.

Tired mum, so sorry to hear about the bike, we picked one up for my dd at the boot sale for £20, its a good one too xx

Happy Anniversary to the Donnys :T

Bitsy, I hope Boo bear :D, makes a full recovery xx

    Have good evenings all xx

    Evening peeps

still freezing here, the thermometer says its minus one outside already

Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs DG, hope that you both had a lovely day!

Redruby - Aw sorry to hear about little doggie, its a tough decision when everything else seems ok. ((((HUGS))))

Bitsy - ((((HUGS)))) for your parents and their doggie too, hope that the recovery speeds up and is more comfortable.

Mrs MH  I remember you posting a while back - i only came back to the fold yesterday.

Both houndies are fast asleep having been walked and then pigging out, they both love their grub :D I`m just waiting to sort DH`s tea out as he wasn`t very hungry earlier and wanted to eat later then i can finish off in the kitchen and relax for an hour before bed. In fact i may just let him sort out the kitchen and i`ll toddle off for an early night *wonders what the kitchen will look like in the morning*

I told myself this morning that i would only have one of the kenwoods if the one that i wanted was in stock at my local store - its not so thats that :p There IS one not too far away but i made myself a promise so i`ve got to stick to it. I also found the paper copy of the Magimix instructions and it does most of what i want anyway besides all my other gadgets so the deal is done, i`m abstaining from any kenwood talk :D

Right i`m off to fetch a glass of vino and then have a quick browse before turning in with my book.

    Sleep well peeps!

Oh dear :( Does you DS have to have replacement? I don't wish to sound mean but by not replacing it teaches him a lesson in how to look after expensive items?
You could always try freecycle for an inbetween if he has to have one.

Well no tap for me tonight as I have one very pukey little boy :( Poor sod can't even keep water down, load more washing now been created for me oh joy.

thanks for the thoughts re Boo Bear. She's slept most of this afternoon and when we picked her up they've given her diazapam (sp?) so no wonder when she went to do a wee in the garden she squatted and then collapsed in a heap  I think it's been hard on the old girl, she's 15, lost her best mate earlier this year when Rosie was put to sleep, had a new very lively kitten arrive so it's no wonder she's got stressed.

JackieG - glad the school seems good :T

Redruby - No advice about little dog apart from is it likely to get worse and need dealing with when she's older? At least having it done now would mean age is on her side??? Nice to see a glimmer of your old dad, hope he's home soon xx

Lovin' all the Kenwood !!!!!!.......mine is an original from the 70's and in no need of replacement yet :D

    Hello everybody

Beautiful day here....very frosty this morning but blue sky made up for it.

    JC....good luck for interview to-morrow.

Happy anniversary Mrs & Mrs Donnygal.

Roast chicken for dinner tonight, with carrots parsnips and green beans, we had DGS2 for dinner as DD4 had to go to town this evening, so they are both staying here to-night, Kerry has gone to bed with him, so he is unlikely to be cold!

Ruby....good to hear that your dad is better.

Csarina....glad that OH is getting stronger.

Very little OS here to-day, airport run for DS2 this morning, WM on all day, nowhere to put them out as gather storm is on its way back, so doing them in shifts around the house....hate that. Made a chocolate sponge with the duck eggs a cousin gave me...haven't had any myself but DGS2 says that it is delicious, good enough to be in a shop....not sure I find that a compliment, but thanked him anyway!

Need to order some oil to-morrow, not sure how much we have, should mean that we will be ok until January at least...try to regulate the length of time it is on, but OH turns it to constant when he is feeling cold and I don't always cop it immediately.

JackieG...that school sounds great...good luck with the other two.

Hugs to all in need or want, keep warm
