    Why not download MAME
You can play all the arcade classics then.

I love abandonware. I downloaded ZorkII to play on my mum's old Mac LC and got quite obsessed with it for a while but I got stuck and kept getting magicked by the wizard. Maybe now I can get it on my PC I'll finally figure out how to defeat him.

This is all abandonware meaning its that old that copyright doesn't apply anymore (Correct me if I'm wrong there)

Where as MAME uses copyrighted files ripped from a arcade machine therefore using MAME roms is illegal (I'm unsure whether or not it is illegal if you own that machine but i think it is definately illegal to rip them in the first place.)

There are that many false stories of copyright on games,I could easily be wrong.

You are wrong. Copyright is not even close to expiring on these games, they just rely on nobody prosecuting you over it due to the company going bust or similar.
