This is not what Argos is selling it’s the cheap 40 easy they are selling and ripping the public off
they gave me a 40 easy they are £113 and the 40 essential is £180 I got it on sale but still not the same item the bar code does not match for the
Navigon 40 Essential EAN/Barcode: 4020907014135
Navigon 40 easy EAN/Barcode: 4020907013275
They have some Navigon stock that they trying to pass off as the essential and it’s not I have contacted watch dog as well

Dear watchdog I went to Argos to buy a sat nav a
Navigon 40 Essential with UK, ROI, 43 European GPS Sat Nav. 504/2496 EAN/Barcode: 4020907014135.
And I was ripped off I have been given a cheaper model Navigon 40 easy EAN/Barcode 4020907013275 they trying to pull the wool over people’s eyes by selling them a £116 item instead of the £179.99it was on sale for £90 they are selling the cheaper models and trying to pass them off as more money and the serial number is listed on the web site for the right sat nav that I should have received I checked the bar codes too

Never mind that, i cant make sense of it? OP i suggest if you want watchdog (and us) to understand what the hell is going on, you reword it all in the default font, using commas and fullstops where necessary.

I couldt understand what was being sold for what. You mentioned £90, if thats what you paid then how is it a rip off? (considering the normal price is circa £115). It would be a simple case of incorrect description.
    Back by no demand whatsoever.

It's easy to understand! The OP claims Argos are selling a cheaper version of the Navigon and describing it as the more expensive version. So if I go into Argos tomorrow and buy this cheap version and 'subsequently' discover it's the wrong one based on the description should I/can I insist it be replaced by the more expensive one they advertised? BTW Hudson are you now reduced to issuing the order :- If I helped click "Thanks". I thought you were better than that....are you really that desperate?
  • as thats not what i paid for i paid for a Navigon 40 Essential EAN/Barcode: 4020907014135 cat 504/2496
and i recived a Navigon 40 easy EAN/Barcode:4020907013275 the new by the box and the Barcode that is why

You have a real cheek complaining about the OP's grammar given your own deficiences in that area!

It's a fourm, I couldnt care less if i miss out the apostrophe in dont, or dont capitalise I's etc. I dont claim to be a perfect writer, but theres a difference between mistakes and a massive jumble of multi-sized/font text thats almost impossible to make sense of.

Have you finished your petty remarks for today?

How many threads are we up to now? That is threads you have made no contribution to but seek to attack me? I can only assume that you have run out of milk and cookies.

    How much did you pay?

What specs did they advertise (were they the specs for the essential or easy variant)?

If your unhappy and got a lesser deal, get your refund and ask them to change it. Life's too short to be worrying about this stuff.

Making your original post all bold doesn't help either, the first part is understandable but the part to watchdog makes no sense.

OP, you have given no indication that you have pointed out this error to Argos.

Was this purchase made in a store or online?

If in a store, have you spoken to anyone at that store and asked for their explanation?
    What was their explanation?

If purchased online, could it just possibly be that whoever despatched the thing to you actually made a mistake and picked the wrong item in the warehouse?

    Just a thought.

It might not be the massive confidence trick you seem to be implying.

So you're ok with your own bad grammar and spelling but struggle with other peoples fonts and bold? I think we all understand (including you) what the OP is complaining about!
