I think this is the suggested place for me, i have not a clue on much like this
i moved into currant let in january, in my front room i have what i call my hole in the wall (currently home to a candle display)
i have the outer to a fireplace (im carp a technical terms) lovely cream colour
then just a hole, not sure what was there before its rough concrete on the bottom and not brickwork but not sure what it is, fireplace would need sweeping before i could put anything in to burn wood/coal
i know i have been very vague but any suggestions, im not sure i could fit a woodburner in and id be looking to spend as little as possible as not sure how long i will be living here (tenancy up in january, its too small for us but i needed out of a very damp house)

Don't do ANYTHING if you're just renting! Move onto the next property. I don't see why you'd add any 'value' or anthing of cost to a property you may move out of in a matter of weeks?0
