It's only labour, parts are on top as well.

We got our car serviced last week. They told is it wouldn't be much as it was only a small service - 10k miles since the last major one (the car had only done 17k mikes at that point). We got a bit of a shock to find out that the oil, spark plugs and filter change wasn't even included in the £255 service.

Just noticed that included an MOT. Doesn't that cost about £55 on its own?

The other issue is my Vauxhall is coming up for service at a Mitsubishi garage, they won't offer any vauhall dealers. The Mitsubishi garage is miles away, probably an hour.

Especially when they get hold of your car and start charging you all sorts for "additional" work.

The service will be an oil change and a long list of faults that need urgent work.

How many people need an HPI check with every service? Sounds like a scam to me.

Just going to present you with a huge bill at the end.

the garage i work for does a service and mot for £99 i think its a scam heres how it works 1. mot tester checks your car through looks for faults if it fails then he already has your car so you probably will go ahead with repairs, if it passes then you are paying about £40 for an oil , spark plugs. and filter change, all parts included in price
2. £20 for a car wash and vacume hes having a laugh its about £5.00 for a car wah where i live
its the old kwick fit trick with there free puncture ok some will get one and win but a lot will find to there cost they need new tyres etc
