yes, I was pointing out that differences are so small that can be wiped out with withdrawal charges. Unless you change a big lump of money and cash it in a go and go around with cash into pocket, if you can do that...tell me what ATM you go :p The initial cost of the card can be wiped out with special offers like for Fairfx. The top ups are same for all cards there's always a free option that suits you, I like cash and bacs but that takes 4 days you know, debit card is tricky cos depends on your bank so you need to check I have a surcharge so I am not going anywhere near byeeeeeeee

The intelligent just use the best Sterling card and save themselves a headache. That is obviously not getting through to your brain. There is also no chance of your bank charging you for purchasing foreign currency, as you aren't buying any.

It seems that you missed that class. Do a little study and come back to tell us what we already know.

The best sterling card???? I have both a sterling and a Euro card. The sterling cards charge on international ATM withdrawals PLUS the ATM charge itself that in some countries can be roughly 2 Euros, the Fairfx charges £1 for the anywhere card and £1.50 for the Euro card. While the Caxton isn't charging but it is on UK POS so you can't have your money back for free. You have also to keep in mind that you have to accept the exchange rate of the day, and beign the sterling looking like the a sea during a storm, I prefer to change when the exchange rate is good. Mine is charging £0 for the Euro card so I use that, while the sterling is useful because you can have the same day exchange rate and no fees when you move money to the Euro card. I pratically have always 0 fees. Recharging is free take 24 hours or instant depending the way you do it. Withdrawals are free. No commission on POS. So why would I want the what did you call it? best sterling card for? For me the only expense can be the foreign ATM. The exchange rate I get is good considering I don't have any further fees.

Please desist in posting this nonsense and take the time to read the fees summary of the card I recommended. Take note of what benjus has written to you. You have got it completely wrong.

Gosh I thought you were just rude to me, stilltheone. I hope you don't speak to people like that in real life

I do....when they are particularly annoying.

If you explain something clearly to someone, but they ignore it and continue to argue.....
