as we speak he is having his bits chopped off, so that might make some of you happy!!!!
Very happy - better late than never.
As to "that is my preference and has nothing to do with anyone else" - a bit rich considering you came here for advice as you were unable to sort this out by yourself.
There is way too many staffs in shelters for anyone to keen unneutered male and female in one household.
Still, as you are saying your boy if being neutered now so part of the problem sorted.
All the best.0 -

But those of you who question why i have so many dogs if i cant afford to neuter them, well at the end of the day that is my preference and has nothing to do with anyone else. My dogs are well looked after and have a happy home, unlike some poor animals out there........ all i wanted was some advice and i have been made to feel like a bad pet owner.

Just to point out that you should still continue to separate them for the duration of your girl's season as, although he has now been neutered, he may still be able to sire puppies for several weeks/months.
Be aware also that neutering does not prevent a dog from mating a b1tch....it only prevents pregnancy. So, if you do not have your !!!!! spayed, you should continue to be vigilant during seasons to ensure that he doesn't try to mate and tie with her as injury can occur to either/both dogs.0 -
Did you manage to get help/free neutering for the boy?
Where do you live in case we can find help to get the girl neutered too.0 -

That's a little contradictory, seeing as the whole point of your post was because your male dog was currently NOT happy. In your own words, you 'couldn't bare to see him like this' - so you shouldn't have been surprised by some of the responses!"Your life is what your thoughts make it"
"If you can't bite, don't show your teeth!"
R.i.P our beautiful girl Suki. We'll love and miss you forever

hows it that contradictory.... up until my !!!!! came into season my boy was fine..... and i am surprised about the responces, i ask a question about my dogs behavour and how i might help him to relax and i basically got lectured on neutering and being told i shouldnt buy a dog if i cant get it neutered, that has nothing to do with what i was asking, my financial problems are no-one elses buisness and making someone feel like there a bad person for buying a dog is just not right.... i am fully aware of neutering and how dogs mate and that they tie together etc etc..... my plans where always to get both my babies neutered but all i wanted was some advice to help calm him, i do everything for my dogs and they always come first before anything else in my life, I wont be coming back on this site so dont bother post a reply! its unreal how people can be so negative towards others, what happened to our country!0

The reason people are being negative is because there are thousands of dogs in shelters all over the country needing homes, because of irresponsible breeding, and the vast majority of them are Staffs.0

I completely agree that people should be able to pay for their dogs being neutered etc... but I also feel that if people feel jumped on when they come here for advice we often lose the opportunity to engage in some helpful dialogue - the OP came here for advice, and has had some very good advice, and is now acting on some of it, and getting the dog neutered. Hethmar has kindly offered to look for help in neuterring the b1tch too... ultimately that is more use to the dogs than any of us venting our opinions...0
