The Great Cheap, Safe Fireworks Hunt

I just bought a selection of fireworks from Lidl. Didn't buy the rockets been told they were rubbish.
Any recommendations for the rockets. Something with a decent display and bang Which I can buy from any of the local supermarkets. Cheers!0 -
I set some bulldog fireworks off earlier this year that's how I know, both earthquake and volcano boxes, and I also set off a barneys big crate display kit at new years eve last year, and the performance of the fireworks was pretty good, the cakes were loud and quite visual with good pokey breaks, the rockets produced a loudish bang, the fountains produced a good stream of whistles crackles pops and colour, the wheels were quite nice too. And dont use the 'where the hell you got that from' childish quip to put me down either.

I don't really think that it is possible to buy decent rockets from supermarkets, then again I may be wrong. I would advise you to go to a specialist retailer.0 -
I went up today and was impressed with the new place. They're very professional there and the fireworks are fantastic.
It's a 130mile round trip for me but it's worth the £20 in petrol because I easily save that on fireworks.
Did you see Bruce the dog? That is one scary looking animal!!!
We did see Bruce, he was asleep, stirred when I spoke to him then he rolled over and went back sleep :rotfl:0 -

Yes you can.
I had planned to go to Epic but went to my local garden centre yesterday and the fireworks were much much cheaper plus I saved about £40 in diesel.. which went on more fireworks(It's about 180 mile round trip for me) Epic's website looks fantastic and the fireworks great but they can't compete on price, most of the year round specialist sellers seem expensive. Don't overlook your local garden centres folks, mine is excellent!
