That post has just made my day
! Thanks!
Edit: will also say, if ANYONE is looking to buy supermarket fireworks I would definitely go to Lidl! Just a shame they arnt on sale till a week today!
Just had a look on their website, its more or less the same stuff Aldi used to stock, eg their selection packs. Ive already said Im going to get the £12.99 box to go towards my birthday fireworks as Ive had them before and they were the best! I looked for them again the next year and they wernt selling them any more. Thinking of buying a cheap pack of rockets too.

Combing through the Weco website I've found videos of two of the cakes LIDL are selling, look excellent for the money, especially the Ipanema. Wonder what bore size these are at two for £12??
Vids :
Ipanema -> www .weco-pyro.de/cms/popup.player.php?detail=3296&name=Ipanema (3296)
25 Carat -> www .weco-pyro.de/cms/popup.player.php?detail=3248&name=25 Carat (3248)
EDIT : There's actually better clips on youtube of these two.... just search Weco Ipanema & 25 Carat.
Firefighter looks amazing for £9.99, can't see these staying in stock for long!

i knew i kept this thread saved in my favourites for a reason! those lidl fireworks look pretty good, might see if i can get myself some of those.
a few weeks ago i randomly stumbled into the largest (supposedly) distributing shop of fireworks in the south. they sell all year round and have an awesome collection of fireworks from what i saw. unfortunately i cant remember the name of the shop, but i will be going down this weekend to have a look at what they have. i remember them having big 'ammo' cases of fireworks which were massive, full to the brim. they also have their own 'club where you can join and get a further discount of already heavily discounted fireworks. i cant wait!!!0 -

the TNT supermarket fireworks are a bag of sh*t,the fountains went quick,the rockets were so limp its untrue,and the romancandles are an afterthought. They're about as good as watching paint dry tbh. The standard supermarket fireworks are slightly better but only just. The weco ones are better than many supermarket ones,and deliver top flight performance on every count with something you CAN enjoy and not something to moan at.0 -
