umm ive only bought fireworks twice from supermarkets this year tesco, last year asda. asda werent that great, but there was a lot of them in the selection box i got (which was BOGOF) most of the stuff was fountains though.
if you can stretch to £55 id recommend getting what i got, but maybe instead of getting 2 cakes the same, get the selection box and the cake for a longer display. (i didnt get the selection box so i cant comment on it but it does have a few other things in it)
i really do recommend those shot tubes though!0 -

I have now taken War Hawk rockets back to Lidl as needed to know I was going to get a good display. I nearly bought Terminal Velocity from Aldi, but evntually bought 15 little brother rockets for £13 from a garden centre, I know these will give the effect I require and they are 8m rockets.0 -
Have I left it too late to get fireworks? We were planning a party next Saturday, but the supermarkets seem to have stopped selling.0

Apparently Morrisons have reduced their prices by 50%.
If any of the supermarkets have any left, the chances are that they'll be reduced further.
There are specialist firework shops that are allowed to open all year round. You'll be able to get something from them.0 -
sales-wise, its been a disatser so far for fireworks shops. no one is buying much.
This fits with Nov 5 being the quietest ever, by far, around where I live. I'm not surprised with the sky-high prices being charged for fireworks everywhere. Most of these fireworks must cost pennies in China and, ten years ago, they were fairly priced in the UK, too. Not now - the prices seem absurd. The wholesalers have themselves to blame, unless import duty has tripled, quadrupled, or something. Knowing Labour, I wouldn't rule it out. Does anyone know the reason for the steep price increases?0 -

They are still available from all year round sellers any time though!
Just a heads up to anyone who was thinking of buying fireworks from BM Bargins stores this year, they will not be selling them!
Got an email yesterday stating that due to a decline in general sales of fireworks they will not be stocking them this year or the foreseeable future!0 -
