I made my trip to Epic Fireworks (near leeds) at the weekend. I was very impressed. Their prices are very good and they even chucked in a free rocket (which is massive!)

Certainly a lot better value than the supermarkets. It's nice to be able to see the fireworks (on video) before you buy them.

Would recommend and will be back next year.

yep your very lucky! i couldn't make it this year or i would have bought from them!

they have some great fireworks in stock, and i do agree with you there, it is alot better to view the videos before buying

I dont agree with you view that red devil fireworks are not any good or TNT i have always had red devil fireworks and they are very impressive and have always amused everyone . If you want to try any from a supermarket they are usless compard to red devil . I have had loads from this company and the cakes and fireworks are great !

Avoid Dancing Red Devil especially, and probably TNT fireworks. Cheap tat imo, and you really do pay for what you get. If you have a small garden and only want to please the children then buy a cheap £10 box from one of the supermarkets.

If you want some cakes (barrages) and some fireworks actually worth the money then try the seasonals or proper all year round shops. pop over to ukfr.com and check out the 'buy fireworks' section to see if you are close to any of the recommended shops.

Please note that if you are told 'these are teh biggest in the country', 'nothing will beat this' etc etc, then all you are hearing is sales talk. Said fireworks will most likely be filled with plenty of air and not have any significant effects.

We bought some fireworks yesterday (not for bonfire night, but something else).

    We went to JTF...

We had our fireworks last night.

My favourite was a conical firework (I think it was Vesuvious £6) and Meteor Storm was a good finale (stand well back) for £18.

I would definitely recommend these two. :T

(On the other hand, I'd avoid the big rockets from Lidl...they were pants.)

now UKFR is actually good for the product review it self!, but they only have advertises for a choice! so really that not your best place to be for choosing your firework shop, you will have better luck visiting thefireworkshoplist.com and click the link "firework shop locator"

Thats right. ukfr used to review fireworks, it doesn't anymore. their buy fireworks list is a list of people who have paid to be on that list. lots of good shops are not on it.

also if you are choosing to buy a big ammount of 1.3G fireworks without licensed storage dont get your picture taken with them and dont go around sticking pictures up on forums!!!!! lolz

but as a serious point please don't buy fireworks over 5kg nec that are 1.3G if you are storing for more than 3 days. its illegal to keep them at home without registered or licensed storage
  • Hi does anyone know where I can buy 'Benstar' or Cosmos fireworks this year?

I bought some great rockets from Lidl last New Year, but they have changed supplier this year.

    Any help appreciated.
