help digging deeper and deeper wiped everything off laptop cant start now

hi i'm digging myself deeper and deeper in a hole. i completely wiped everytihng off the laptop with drive scrubber because os was installed twice.
i had done this on my own comp and it worked for me.
however i cant boot up the computer now is there a website with good step by step instructions i have tried ms dos diskette but not too sure what to do and have tried bootdisc for 98se
i have tried reinstalling win98 but it wont allow me please help its not my comp:mad:

hi i have ms dos on floppy how does that install on comp? and the bbotdisk will that be 98 se bootdisk

There are various links on that site on creating a boot disk or downloading one. It doesn't need to be specifically win98se, a boot disk is all that is required.

i insert the bootdisk before start up and it asks me to remove disks or media then it says missing operating system and freezes

what asks you to remove media?

i have win98se i downloaded from bootdisk .com i dont think ieven have msdos on the laptop now dont know what to do at all
the computer asks me to remove media on booting up
its not booting up from start up

If you leave the floppy disk in, take out any CD, and boot what happens? (ignore the message).

the procedure would be.

boot from floppy
run fdisk
delete all partitions, and recreate one primary partition, make it active.
reboot again, with floppy
format c: /s

the run d:\win98\setup
