Other than that about the only thing you could do, is to try to get a balance transfer to another card, that way the interest would be minimal.
I could be in a similar situation, I'm currently waiting for a new phone, which I intend to pay for with my CC as I have a 0% until June offer on it. But the purchase must be complete by the 28th Nov and at the moment the stock has been pushed back 2 weeks already.
Seems silly, but I could in a couple of weeks, be better off asking them to charge the card, before they even have a despatch date.0
