As the seller has stated by email that he is now only willing to sell to the buyer for another £900 ,even though she has paid him the correct asking price already via paypal, it is not deceit to tell this to paypal and ask for them to refund her money. The seller has already said she is not getting the item or her money back if she doesn't give him more money.
No deceit there on the part of the buyer.
That wasn't what I was asking.

I asked his opinion of her deceiving paypal by doing as richto suggested and paying him the money, collecting the item and then doing a charge-back by telling paypal that she did not have the item.

That was something of which I would like to hear someone else's opinion.

To the best of my knowledge it would be criminal deception and I'm rather disgusted that no one else is condemning that as a suggestion for a way to proceed.

Well he's gone out for the evening so I can't ask him but I agree with you it would be fraud to say you have not received the item if you have ,to claim money back.
She must stay above the law herself.

LOL just read that back and ofcourse meant to say within the Law.

Glad we have so many barrack room lawyers (not in bold as this is rude) :)

the helpless, the powerless, in a world of criminals who operate above the law.

If you believe that you need to be a barrack room lawyer to know that it's a criminal offence to decieve people in order to get money from them I don't fancy your chances of staying out of jail all that highly.

I would say that it should be obvious to all but the most dim-witted, but that would be rude.

BTW, did you know that it's illegal to hit someone over the head with an iron bar and take their money? If you're unsure I'd consult a 'barrack-room lawyer' double quick ;)

raise a charge I definatley would, if the money is mid transfer paypal would a hold on it. You have paid for an item that you havent recvd. As for coming down to his level it sounds like hes probably use to bullying people, and its probably the only language he understands. Whats his user name (I really dont like people like this) it's similar to people in cars or on phones all very brave but face to face.
I have this kind of thing regulary with people giving me a hand gesture etc in cars and the minute i step out, I'm actually 6ft 5 ( although in a car I look half as big as i am) and it kinda of takes the wind out there sails.
I'm not for one minute saying go on to wind him up, but I wouldnt let him draw the money into his bank account.

this does give sellers a bad name, out of interest does he have good feedback?
Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!
