She means the Protection from Harassment Act 1997, so Gemma gets 0 out of 10 for that lazy reference to the law.
And then of course, they are still harassing you, they haven't taken on board the fact you were not driving and you've told them their contact is harassment. Never mind, let them waste their time, man-hours, stamps and copying costs sending you their load of rubbish.
And this bit means nothing at all really:
'Under Pre Action Protocol – Civil Procedure Rules we are required to try and resolve any issues and only using court as a last resort'
errr...yes, your point being, Gemma? They are just trying to frighten people with legalese but all it means is that IF anyone wants to take another to Court they have to show the judge they tried to settle the matter out of Court first. So what, they don't even do Court?!
It's all a pile of steaming shht really isn't it? Why doesn't Gemma get a real job in Tesco or something?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I wonder if Gemma this week or whoever it is next week believes this crap they send out! Or do you think its just words and pretty colours and the nearest answer to the question?0

Well, I've now been to work today and got even more evidence as to not being in the alleged car park. Even more so, not being in the town of the car park. My poor old car is getting picked on as he was also with me all day.
Any one else had the same problem as me? my car and I were not in the town of the car park on the day the ticket was issued. We were in another town over 18 miles away.
However a month before hand we were in the car park and bought a ticket for £2, which lasts 24 hours and I displayed it properly.
When I went back to the car the same day there was a parking charge ticket put on the screen in front of the £2 ticket!.
This was cancelled due to me sending in a copy of the ticket and a strong letter. They replied and cancelled the charge.
So I sure was horrified when I got this next one!
They definately want to pick on my nice little car for not getting it the first time round!0 -
I've just read an email I received from Dept recovery plus again and guess what they stated, which I missed first time around when reading:
Parking Collections Services Ltd is a trading name of Debt Recovery Plus Ltd.
That says it all!!

In one way I agree with you. However, if we make the assumption for a minute that PPC invoices are legal and they can take you to court (which is what the PPC's like you to think), then clearly there must be an appropriate response when their minimum wage hi vis vest chimps incorrectly take down a vehicle's details. I think situations like this clearly show why PPC's should be outlawed or regulated (preferably the former). This is notwithstanding the fact that many of the tactics they use already are against the law, even if it is impossible to get anyone to take action about those points.
Ah you mean those individuals who were desperate for jobs and if they had not been able to acquire these ones would have been suitably maligned for being workshy layabouts.
The chap who polices the local sainsburys is a charming chap who is bright and intelligent and speaks to anyone who talks to him, is in his 60s and is clearly just doing the job he could get. But according to the 'highly paid self satisfied intellectuals' on this board he is a 'high vis chimp"
Amazingly I have never been ticketed, I wonder why? Oh that's right, if it says only park for 2 hours or 30 minutes, I make sure I don't overstay my welcome.
(my condolences to the OP who was ticketed erroneously)0 -
"Amazingly I have never been ticketed, I wonder why? Oh that's right, if it says only park for 2 hours or 30 minutes, I make sure I don't overstay my welcome".
Accepted how ever have you ever been in a Lidl or Aldi with a shopping trolley full and stood in a queue for 20 mins? Then being a few minutes over the hour and receiving a charge of £50. The chap in your Sainsbury's may be a charming chap and may actually look at the circumstances before issuing a charge! He may well believe he is doing a worthwhile job, and doing it fairly, also earning a living and paying his way. However there are some who will endeavour to produce as many tickets they can. Although I agree it unfair to tarnish all! There are some who do really deserve the description.
I also have never had a PPCN as a driver, the only one I have had to deal with was for a car I owned driven by my daughter which was towed from the hard shoulder by the highways agency to a service area for safety reasons. Unfortunately it took longer then there allotted two hours for the AA to recover her. I did at that time contact them to explain the situation all I received was the usual appeal unsuccessful. After which I ignored their increasing threats.Except for one letter inviting them to take me to court. They have never accepted my offer.
Calling all people employed in this business Hi vis Monkeys or whatever is a consequence I am afraid of the behaviour of the majority.0 -
The chap who lurks around my local sainsbury on the otherhand thinks its okay to ticket people with a wheel touching a white line, I know because its happened to me after spending £130 in there and coming back to that, does that strike you as fair ? Is that an intelligent way to treat customers ?
I know its just a job, but they are part of a scam , and are told to ticket cars for the most trivial things, the company behind it are a bunch dirty stinking scamming gits, and they deserve nothing less than liquidation.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
I was ticketed by them once, I sent them a hugh bill for damage to my windscreen wiper, they replied they didn't touch my car and were not liabel, my reply was if you didn't touch my car you didn't servr the ticket. I then totaly ignored the 15 or so letters from them till they went away, and blocked there e-mails with a span filter, they eventualy stopped trying.
The important thing with these criminals is, if you keep responding, they will keep harrasing.0
