I've been reading your threads on here so decided to join.
I received a letter from Parking Collection Serviced limited on 9th September informing me of a charge I had not payed in a hospital car park. The charge was apparently on 28th July 2010. I therefore phoned them up (Gemma was here name) and explained I wasn't even in the area on that day and was working in another town. To cut a long story short I have now received 3 letters from Dept recovery plus which are quite intimidating: 30th Sept, 8th Oct, 20th Oct. I therefore emailed them and they totally screwed up their reply!(it was this Gemma woman who replied from Dept recovery so I reckon both agencies are the same company?
I have emailed them back again and told them I have been advised to take them to court and also told them I will be going to the police because they are harrassing me.
I have proof as to where I was on the said day so no way could they win.
After reading your threads I will now ignore them.
I'll keep you posted.

The reason why they are harassing you is because they are trying to scam you, plus the fact you are communicating with them, cease it all and they will go away, really they have no loss, you weren't even there, so they have no possible chance to win in court, the reality isthey won't go anywhere near there.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Sadly now you have contacted them they'll start thinking you will cave in if they send just a few more letters, and if they now have your phone number they may even harass you on the phone (some do). As you have found out these people do not care if they are right or wrong, they just want to do their level best to part people from their money. That will be their undoing in the end. After reading your threads I will now ignore them.

This is actually blackmail, demanding money with menaces and fraud. Suggest complaining to your MP, and making a complaint to http://www.actionfraud.org.uk/0 -
In one way I agree with you. However, if we make the assumption for a minute that PPC invoices are legal and they can take you to court (which is what the PPC's like you to think), then clearly there must be an appropriate response when their minimum wage hi vis vest chimps incorrectly take down a vehicle's details. I think situations like this clearly show why PPC's should be outlawed or regulated (preferably the former). This is notwithstanding the fact that many of the tactics they use already are against the law, even if it is impossible to get anyone to take action about those points. The reason why they are harassing you is because they are trying to scam you, plus the fact you are communicating with them, cease it all and they will go away0 -
Thanks to your replies.
No they don't have my phone number and no I won't be paying them a penny.
What's the most letters people have received from the scammers?0 -

its just a bit of cleaning to keep threads on topic. Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?

Well, reply to my email arrived today and they are going to send me a copy of the original: this employee Gemma states:
As you have referred to harassment. The Harassment act 1997, we are obliged to tell you that we are a legitimate recovery company and as such are required by law to respond to your correspondence in order for us to continue in that said correspondence. Under Pre Action Protocol – Civil Procedure Rules we are required to try and resolve any issues and only using court as a last resort, if you are refusing to provide any evidence / information that substantiates your claim then you are breaching Pre- Action Conduct.
I have put in a request for a copy of the parking charge, this will also indicate the time the vehicle was observed and the time the PCN was issued. I shall hold this account in the meantime, once we receive the parking charge, this will be sent to you immediately.
So, this means I will not correspond with them any more so then they won't correspond with me because they have nothing to correspond to?
And, I wait for the so called copy of the parking charge and time to arrive on my doorstep so I can put it to the rest of my collection of letters and emails.
I've blocked them from my email address now!
This is becoming a bit of a laugh as i have so much evidence to prove I wasn't there!
