Right, well I'm doing quite well.
Monday Levels 1&2 :j and managed a few other tasks from list. But a question: there is no mention of dusting/polishing these rooms, is dusting a daily? (It is my most hated job:mad:)
Tuesday Levels 1&2 :j and a few other tasks too. But I need some help because I am rubbish and negligent with cleaning our cooker. I have done a lot of the top but I'm struggling to get the metal bars really clean (its a gas cooker). I have soaked in hot water with fairy and I've tried a de-greasing spray with a toothbrush. I have got some stardrops here. What do you good ladies suggest next?

Dusting is on the list every week to 2 weeks it seems, i damp dust to make it easier, i read the living room as needing dusting when it said "dust degrot electrical appliences" so i gave a quick wipe round the tv, sky box, games consoles etc with a damp cloth.

re the shelves in the cooker, the best tip ive read is to soak overnight in the bath in some biological washing powder and then attack it when its had a good long soak. eta, sparkleworld beat me to it :D
  • My HHC turned into 2 x HHC and I managed to do:

    Loaded DW
    Cleaned all worksurfaces
    Cleaned hob
Emptied bin, bin now soaking in bath
    Put out recycling
    Wiped front of appliances
    Wiped window sills
    Swept and mopped kitchen floor
    S & S bathroom
    Hoovered all downstairs
    Loaded WM

I'm now going to have a cuppa and browse the net for a bit

Have you tried putting them in the bath filling with hot water and biological soap powder. Let them soak while you pootle around with other jobs . If they are really bad let them soak over night. Oh and to save your bath from scratching maybe line it with an old towel.

Thanks to you both for that tip, I'll try that when I do my oven

  • Oh dear-behind again!! A friend invited me in for a coffee on the way back from school so I didn't get home until 10.45.Got an (under)estimated gas bill and they'd reduced my payments by over a third so had to sort that out-why reduce them when I'm about to use more as its getting cold???
I've then shredded over 2 years of reciepts which has taken ages. Just had a bit of cold pizza LO from last night and am going to tackle the dvds and videos that are scattered over the FR floor since we looked for postman pats magical christmas the other day. Lots are empty boxes, stray dvds so I'll get them sorted and then I can clean.
Anyone for a HHC starting at 12.05?

:rotfl:@ 'yellow' one! :T:j at 'all well' remember to take things steady.

Well reporting in after a productive(ish) morning. Went to argos to get some reserved stuff to find I had left vouchers at home  called at Mr M's on way back for food shop. Got my first £40 receipt for the £30 off a Christmas spend. Came home dumped shopping, changed handbags and went back to Argos! Picked up reserved stuff, using nectar points and vouchers and reserved something that was being unloaded as I bought but won't be on shelf until later this afternoon.

Now just having a :coffee: and updating finances. Help yourselves to a :coffee:

    Morning
Please peeps if any of you have roof problems - get them checked. The longer you leave it the worse the damage and the higher the final bill - BTDT!
piggers - have you got your guttering sorted yet?

Also, if you have any lead on your roof, get that checked as well: a small hole in the lead results in leaks that show up anywhere on the ceiling. I've also BTDT - been there, done that!

Things are well: although it doesn't look like it yet, I've been decluttering and selling stuff -which is an added bonus!- and the charity shop have also done quite nicely from my efforts. (A lot of my clutter is behind cupboard doors and isn't too obvious to the casual visitor.)

Hugs, spoons and sticks are neatly stored by the door for those that need them and a hearty Keep On Keeping On to all.

By the way, I loved the teenage daughter bedroom photos last week: how did we all manage to turn into Flyladies?:rotfl:
