e2save ask me to call them about phone order
I ordered a contract phone from e2save via Quidco yesterday. I received an e-mail from Quidco within an hour or two, saying that my cashback (£46) had tracked.
Today I have received an e-mail and text from E2S asking me to contact them on an 0871 number to discuss my order. I'm reluctant to do this as I believe that this would invalidate the Quidco cashback, as the deal would not be completed wholly online.
Any advice welcome. I have 8 days left on my PAC code from my old contracr. Fortunately I have a Tesco SIM I could use to temporarily move my phone number onto.

I dealt once with that company!
They may not have the telephone which you ordered in stock and probably try to offer you other one.
I do not know how would affect the cashback from Quidco.
I personally think they are dodgy as they advertise things which not necessary have in stock.
Would not order anything from them ever!May 2013:0 -
Provided they keep the same order number it wouldn't affect Quidco.0

It's not impossible they want to pretend you failed a credit check and sell you a deal on different network
I'd find an ordinary number and contact them - and look elsewhere if they try that stunt0 -
Isn't it e2save who pull this trick then charge you for setting it up over the phone?0

I had to phone them as I passed (just about) the credit check, but needed to pay a £200~ deposit so the network (o2) would accept me.0

Yes, I see that the free phone I ordered is now £4.99 in my account E2S page. I have e-mailed them to query this.
They eventually called me to say that I had failed my T Mobile credit check. When they looked further they said that they had passed on my current mobile phone details to T Mob as being an existing customer. I confirmed that I'm with O2 at present. The guy took out my current phone number on the details screen and, hey presto, the order was confirmed. All very suspicious - I don't trust these beggars! I'll be paying the paperwork very close attention.0 -

I had exactly the same problem. I ordered a phone last week through quidco, got a message saying that I have to call them. I contacted them through the online chat service and a lady called me and said my application was declined by t-mobile, but the next minute itself she said it is accepted. I confirmed with her that my order number will be the same and I'll get the quidco cashback. She said yes. But now they've changed my order number and charged me £5.99.
I called customer services now and now they say they will inform quidco about my new order number. I am still not convinced. I am furious with e2save. I have got many contracts with them in the past and never they behaved like this. Mobiles.co.uk is lot better and professional compared to e2Save.0 -
Bought a phone through e2save 5 years ago and frankly their service back then was terrible.
I too failed to pass my credit check and then when I received the phone and paperwork noticed the had mispelled my surname. No wonder the credit check failed. Starting to wonder whether they get extra comission for customers having to place a deposit.
I would not touch them with a bargepole, then again wouldn't use Phones4u again either.
You can try http://www.saynoto0870.com/ for alternatives to their 0871 number.0
