    You did something wrong there

    Open malwarebytes
    Goto MORE TOOLS
    then RUN TOOL
    Manually destroy the files -
    c:\users\sheryl\AppData\Roaming\WMVSENCD3.dll
    c:\users\sheryl\AppData\Local\Sdenixaxayu.bin

    Quite right

Theyve left the building (Not sure how mind!, did you run combofix again or something?)

    Download HostsXpert
    http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Hoster-Download-27041.html
and then follow the below steps.
    * Unzip HostsXpert.zip
    * It will create a folder named HostsXpert in whatever folder you extract it to.
    * Run HostsXpert.exe by double clicking on it.
    * click the Make Writeable? button.
    * click Restore Microsoft's Hosts File and then click OK.
    * Click the X to exit the program

    .................................................

    run LSP FIX
    http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm

thanks so much for helping with this
  • Check the dns server on your network card to see if its a dns hijack (click network card then support followed by details) If dns is something like 92.168.xx.xx then you been hijacked and should use malware bytes or search and destroy unless you go kasperky installed.

Wont the network card indeed be looking for the DNS server details stored in the router/modem - and which will be acquired automatically from the ISP.....therefore I would indeed expect it to be directed to an address in the router?
  • Wont the network card indeed be looking for the DNS server details stored in the router/modem - and which will be acquired automatically from the ISP.....therefore I would indeed expect it to be directed to an address in the router?

No hijacks manually overide the DNS by adding them into the TCP/IP propertys
  • Since I seem to have a similar virus I thought I'd post here to see if someone can help. I'm getting redirected to other sites, either with or without new windows or tabs opening in my browser when I click on a google search result. I have AVG installed, spybot and Malwarebytes, have also run Combofix and although files are found and deleted the problem persists. I downloaded autoruns and unchecked anything which I couldn't obviously account for and ran the checkers again, still problem persists. Have now run Hijack This and am posting the log.

Please help - I'm going insane!!!!

  • Thanks for those links. Do I uninstall avg etc before running Kaspersky, or do i just try Kaspersky then uninstall everything to try avast if Kaspersky doesn't work?

I'd uninstall avg and norton using their removal tools, uninstall spybot, install avast, then scan with kaspersky, as well as uninstalling all those toolbars (the BHO's) especially Softonic-EngUK Toolbar

Also check the contents of your hosts file under C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
