You mean other than the fact that the BB is a smart phone and an ordinary mobile phone isn't? For me personally, the best things about the BB is BB Messenger - quite unique imho. Can message anyone else with a bb (so long as you know their BBM pin and they yours) anywhere in the world absolutely free and also send pictures absolutely free. Also push email, internet services etc goes through RIM who crunch the data to tiny proportions, hence why BB data plans are cheaper than other smart phone plans. I love my BB: my husband has been bleating on about how great his HTC Desire is and has recently got me one on a free upgrade but still can't give up my BB - for starters the battery power on the Desire is atrocious and try as we might, we can't set up my Hotmail account on the Desire for push email when it was a breeze on the BB! I'm an email addict
. Only thing I dislike about the BB is the Appsworld - quite simply its !!!!!.
I'm dying to get my hands on the nw BB Torch, can't wait till I can upgrade in 2 months.0 -
It's the best smartphone out there at the moment!! Even connected to the BIS 24/7/365 I've never had stupid bills even when been abroad.
Just got the new Torch. For me it does everything I want it to do. Internal 8gb memory with the flexibility to add a memory up to 32gb. Push email. Blackberry Messenger at no cost, I was talking to someone in California via BBM.
Go here for a comparison on the iPhone http://swirlsolutions.com/blog/?cat=22
As RenStar said the browser isn't that special, but I use a laptop to surf the net. It's slightly better with the Torch having a bigger screen.0 -
I completely agree mechanic - couldn't believe how cheap it was to take the BB abroad - I paid only £23 extra (per month) to O2 when we went to Singapore and Malaysia this summer - and for that I got unlimited email and internet whilst out there. My husband was convinced we'd come home to a horrendous bill, but it wasn't a penny over the £23 I was quoted and the following month, I got refunded half of that because I was away for only 2 weeks instead of 4.0

I went to Norway last year for 9 days and had my BB with me. I spent 1hr on MSN and it was a total of (I think) £70. £18 of that was MSN!.0

Blimey ! Who is you network provider? If not 02 and you travel a lot, perhaps you should switch if you can? I have to say, the 02 BB abroad deal is a cracking offer - I know for a fact Tmobile and Vodafone couldn't match it.0 -
It was O2. It's just I spent 1hr on MSN. This was when you had to take the Blackberry abroad option for 3 months. I don't travel at lot but when I do it's short notice. Went to Arnhem at 2 days notice.0

Cheers BB users
One last thing people, i currently check my email/ebay/shares etc on my sony ericsson C510, the screen is tiny and if im loading a web page with a lot of text/info (Ebay home page, share news page etc), it always crashes and doesnt load, and on the rare occasion it does (very rarely), the text/font is so small you cant read it anyway!!
Do any BB's offer the option to 'zoom in' or enlarge the image size while browsing the net? And will they load a very 'busy' web page, unlike my Sony (currently on O2 network)
Thanks again0 -
yes they dothere or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff0
