Actually, i don't drink much, and if i don't like the taste of a particular champagne, i put a bit of juice like orange, blackcurrant in it if its too dry( sorry)!, we tend to buy whatever is half price in the run up to christmas.0

I love the Swarovksi Moet purely because of the bottle but my favourite to drink has to be Laurent Perrier Rose Champagne. Not sure where you are but at this time of year Fenwicks, Selfridges, Harvey Nic's plus some of the supermarkets all have fantastic champagne themed gifts. Selfridges have some online if you want to take a lookSealed Pot Challenge Member 1273VSP 2011 Member 92 - 723.070

ooh I've not tried blackcurrant but that's a great idea. I like to drop a couple of strawberries in, they also taste amazing afterwardsSealed Pot Challenge Member 1273VSP 2011 Member 92 - 723.070 -

"they" did a test last year on all different brands of champagnes, my favourite Veuve CLiquot came out top, but at £30 a bottle is is a rare treat. There was only one point difference between the top two. The one that came second was Sainsbury's own brand - so I gave it a try and it was really nice, almost as nice as the Veuve but half the price.
Considering I'm the only one in the house who drinks it (meaning some 'might' get left,) I now buy Sainsbury's own - yes, you worked it out, it means I get two for the price of one!Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

I really like dom perignon, but I haven't tried the 2000 vintage yet, only 98 and 99, so it could taste completely different! I didn't realise it was in the offer, I am tempted to buy a bottle now! I don't like Moet unless it is the rose which isn't bad. I guess it depends what the celebration is and if it would mean a lot to whoever you are drinking it with. I drank it when I got together with my bf so I know he would love it for a gift as it reminds us of old times.0

Agreed, Laurent Perrier Rose is my favourite mid-range as well.
For a really special bottle I'd go for a Krug of good vintage.“Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Anyway, it's like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think.”
