Hello. I noticed the other day on tesco grocery website'Domaine Perignon'- although the picture next to it is of normal 'Dom Perignon'
at £99.00 . It didnt say whether boxed or unboxed.
Cos they have the 25% off at the moment, this means, if i order one bottle with 5 other cheapo bottles of wine, i will get it for 75 quid.
The strange thing is , they dont sell it in the tesco store i live near, so i dont quite know where they would get it from when they deliver.
anyway, the point is, at 75 quid, is this worth it? I ask , because i wanted to buy it as a special present for someone, cos they say its fantastic, but it is really all a status thing?
Just wondered if anyone knows?
Thanks

I wouldnt spend £75 on a bottle of perignon, it would be drunk with an hour or 2(or less depending on how many are there when its opened)0

I personally wouldn't purely due to the price, I prefer the Moet & Chandon Swarovski limited edition bottles you can get .. these look amazing, taste good and will give you some change from your 75.00Sealed Pot Challenge Member 1273VSP 2011 Member 92 - 723.070

On "Heston's Feasts" he fizzed up some Blue Nun wine in a Soda Stream and did a taste test in the city, hardly any of these high flying bankers could tell the difference, and most even preferred the fizzy Blue Nun to the expensive Champagne (forget the brand). We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0
