I recently purchased the Toshiba 32BV700B which is basically the Full HD version of the television you mention. The picture quality is very good on this particular model though the sound seems a little muffled although I haven't spent much time messing with the settings to try and improve it. There's plenty of options for customising the display.
I picked up the HDMI Upscaling DVD player from Philips that was on offer with the television as well (it's for the bedroom so I don't really care much for Bluray) and combined they produce an absolutely fantastic quality. I tested it out watching Lethal Weapon on DVD and the quality was comparable with my Blu Ray version.
The only thing to remember is that HD Ready is not Full HD, although if you're not subscribing to HD television services or planning on watching Blu Rays then this is largely irrelevant. If, however, you're looking to take full advantage of HD services (TV or Blu Ray), then you would be better off spending the extra on a Full HD television because HD Ready does not do it justice.0 -

Is hd TV (sky, freesat, & freeview) full hd I didnt think it was.0 -
If it's the 32" Regza I've had this for 3 years and its great apart from having a problem switching it on sometimes (can take about 7/8 attempts for some reason) and according to google this is quite common. However they've probably resolved this by now!0

Yes, I apologise, you are correct. I spent some time in the US not too long ago and was exposed to their HD TV services before ours, thus I keep forgetting that unlike the US, UK satellite services are still only 1080i.0
