Website queries - web form & layout Qs

yes it is switching from a windows to a linux server. does anyone know how to correct it? thank you0

When your site was copied over, what method was used? You should force 'binary' mode using ftp program as allowing 'auto' mode may use 'ascii' transfer and this corrupts things like line feeds.0

great, i did just ftp the index file and it sorted the problem with the layout of the webform!!! buglawton - you were right!! thank you!!! so only a little problem left with the paypal button appearing squashed and the dissapearence of the google map

Thank you all for your help so far!!0 -
See suggestion in post 5 above about the Paypal logo.
(also, if you open your own index page file in a program like MS Frontpage you should be able to see & correct the image issue).
Now: the Google Map, this usually requires a certificate file to be present as I recall. Can you check of you have this present or maybe you need to re-generate it, especially if your domain name changed.

thank you al, well i have now changed my map to google maps - but still not displaying the picture. i am not sure why... paypal button is better but still not perfect... (slightly stretched i think). ny idea what is wrong with the map... apologies for all the questions but i am not an experience person in creating websites as you see anyway
thankyou for all your help 0 -
using google chrome to debug your site you have this code in one of your css files
- accept: ""
- accessKey: ""
- align: ""
- alt: "PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online."
- attributes: NamedNodeMap
- autofocus: false
- baseURI: "http://gracetree-bandb.comli.com/"
- checked: false
- childElementCount: 0
- childNodes: NodeList[0]
- children: HTMLCollection[0]
- className: ""
- clientHeight: 20
- clientLeft: 1
- clientTop: 1
- clientWidth: 272
- contentEditable: "false"
- dataset: Object
- defaultChecked: false
- defaultValue: ""
- dir: ""
- disabled: false
- draggable: false
- files: null
- firstChild: null
- firstElementChild: null
- form: HTMLFormElement
- formNoValidate: false
I am almost certain it is the line below that needs to be changed from
clientWidth: 272
to
clientWidth: 86
and also
clientHeight: 20
to
clientHeight: 21
just to be on the complete side
but i've looked at your css files and it doens't to appear to be in there, so you might need to run a string search accross all your files to find out where clientWidth:272 exists (if it does as it could be a dynamic value)

I will check that.
I have managed to add the google map now, but it is still playing up - map not showing correctly...

yes your Google map appears momentarily in Internet Explorer then disappears. In Firefox it does not appear at all.0

well i have managed to sort 2 problems out, but am still struggling with the paypal button

thank you for your help guys!!0 -
Hmm your Google Map does not point to your actual property. Could be confusing for guests.
Your Paypal button shows up as width="86" height="21" and looks normally proportioned (but a bit small) when I paste the page into Frontpage. You can tweak those w and h values in a text editor.0
