Website queries - web form & layout Qs

Hi all,

Until recently emails coming from my webform to my phone came through nicely structured:

FROM:
Email:
Phone:

Message:

But until recently - it changed and they come through a bit messy:

nFROM:Email: : 0207xxxnnMessage:nmsg

Any idea how i can put it back please?

Also as you can see on my site - my paypal button is not the niciest. It looks ok on other sites but on my site is a bit distorted.

Apparently it is something with the layout. Can anyone help me sort it out and make it look ok?

one more problem i have is that the google map keeps 'dissapearing' when i load it it isok, but then it doesnt show.
Any idea please?

Your help would be much appreciated.
ps. if you can help please let me know and i will pm you the link as not sure if can post here?
Thank you

    You need to post the script the webform uses and maybe a link to the form, then folks can try and help.

    aNY IDEA ANYONE? tHANK YOU
  • paypal button must be something in your CSS which is screwing it up.

    I've not taken a thorough look but try changing the line
    <input type="image" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_GB/i/btn/btn_paynow_SM.gif" border="0" name="submit" alt="PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online.">

    to
    <input type="image" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_GB/i/btn/btn_paynow_SM.gif" width="86px" height="21px" border="0" name="submit" alt="PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online.">

    The fact there's an n in front of the email lines would indicate an error in forming new lines, \n or \r\n is the escape character to denote a new line, check your script, and the server it's running on for recent updates etc.

    Thank you,

    I have changed the script for the paypal button and its not made any difference :( Someone said to make some amendments in the layout.css file - but i have no idea where to start.

    Also i have moved my hosting to a new company and thats where the webform n problem started. how can i check the servers etc?

    can i do something to the code to correct it?

    Thank you

    You'd need to post the relevant parts of the script. I suspect your form CSS is messing up the paypal button, create a new class and apply it to the <input> tag with the image.

    When you moved your hosting, I wonder if they moved you between a Linux/Unix server and a Windows one, they treat line feeds characters differently I believe.

    The first port of call could be to contact the tech support people at your hosting company, explain that the behaviour changed when you moved your site to them.
