I really cannot afford Sky HD any longer and I do not watch any of the channels Freesat cannot get other than UK Gold and I can live without that.
If I cancel my subscription will be Sky HD box still get the basic Freeview equivelent channels? Or - would I be better just using the dish and getting a Freesat box to tie up to the Sky dish?

If you bin your Sky sub, your box will,in effect, revert to free to air channels near the same as you get on freeview/freesat,so you dont need to buy freesat. If you want to keep the recording/playback active,Sky charge £10 a month.0
