Can anyone recommend a good restaurant in Northumblerland. We are going there next weekend, staying near Alnwick, and looking for somewhere to eat to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Just looking for somewhere special. We are not confined to Alnwick, we can drive about it anyone can recommend a good place.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I USED TO BE INDECISIVE BUT NOW I'M NOT SO SURE!

Hi - I've never actually been but heard the Tree House restaurant is amazing - Looks gorgeous http://www.alnwickgarden.com/eat/eat-in-the-treehouse
There's also a fab coffee shop which is a bistro by night, with a farm shop attached, it's nr Druridge Bay which is absolutely gorgeous, stunning coastline. I've been a few times to the coffee shop and can vouch for the lunchtime food, the bistro should be just as good as it's all homemade food.
It's about half an hour drive from Alnwick according to google. We drive for about 45 mins to visit the coffee shop and go to the beach as it's well worth it. http://www.thecountrybarn.co.uk/
Hope this helps! Enjoy!Professional Photographer with a love of bargain hunting.. Been a moneysavingexpert since 2006 :-D

I agree......."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Thanks for the ideas, though looks like folk don't agree with you. Have been to Northumberland loads of times but usually just out looking for photo ops. Usually rent a cottage up there, and eat at various places but was looking for something a bit different/special.I USED TO BE INDECISIVE BUT NOW I'M NOT SO SURE!

Yep, been there many times. If you go into the top part up the steps the views of the sea are amazing! However when I was last there the service was terrible (they really same to hate their customers) and the food was passable at best.
We had a nice meal in a pub overlooking the sea in Seahouses, no idea of the name!0 -
I use tripadviser a lot for both hotels and restaurants especially if I am going to a strange area.
