Income Support

My Income Support was meant to be in today, however has not went in to my account. Anybody in the same boat?
Is there any number I can phone to see what is happening?
As a result Direct Debts will not be paid and charges will come, so not happy with that.

Since when did people get paid IS on a Saturday?*SIGH*

If you get paid on a Monday, money able to use on a Saturday from midnight. Money not in on a Saturday, no money for sure.0

So your IS is not due until Monday so not late, DD that's down to you not the DWP.*SIGH*

They are changing the days that they pay benefits according to your national insurance number, my IS has changed from a wednesday to a thursday, could that be what has happened in your case?Strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government0

DX2. Thats the bank updated including Monday, clearance system. The way Clydsdal work. So compared to previous, yes it is late. So no money on Monday when I'm supposed to will lead to bounced DD charges. Therefore can I hold DWP liable for this?
We got moved on to fortnight payments, not long ago. I was thinking they may have !!!!!!ed this up.0 -
It is NOT the DWP's fault that you choose not to run your account correctly. If you do not want to maintain a buffer in your account then do not pay by Direct Debit - or pay the penalties.0

If the money is not there on Monday and it is due to a DWP error, then they *may* cover bank charges incurred from Tuesday onwards (until they put the money into your account). However they are unlikely to cover any charges for Monday because you should not have DDs going out on the same day that the money enters the account.Gone ... or have I?0

There won't be anywhere that you can phone until Monday. I have asked my Mum for you and she got hers today. x0

Also alot of banks are very sneaky with their clearing systems. Some always take the debits out before the credits, so even though the money goes in on the same day you can still go overdrawn. This nearly happened to me just last week, but i phoned the bank up and they told me this was the way they did so it luckily i managed to arranged funds in my account to cover it. You are playing a dangerous game having DD's going out on the same day your benefits are paid in.0

there also may be a fault with Clydesdale and their systems in that nothing is updated. I know of one instance in the past were cashpoints had the correct info but the branches did not and vice versa, check with Clydesdale on monday morning to double check that no payment defineatly went in becasue I am sure that the first question you will get asked is did you check with your branch either phyiscally or by phone.0
