which one do u think is reasonable????

after installing the new one do u think i should have insurance..this is for my house which i am renting at the moment

if the property is rented why are you paying and not your landlord...its not as if you can take the boiler with you when you leave and move to another property.

Why would you need insurance on a new boiler? It's under warranty for at least a year, probably two.
I'd rather have a Viessmann than a Worcester-Bosch any day. BG quotes are typically £1K more than an independent, go with a local recommended RGI instead.
The first independent quote is the one that is properly itemised and looks inclusive (eg VAT). Second one doe not include VAT so you can add 17.5% to that straight away.

yeah the 1st one inclusive of VAT
Viessmann comes with 5 years warranty and 10 years on heating element.
the second quote is Vaillant ecoTEC Pro 24 Boiler and has only 1 year warranty...with vat his price comes to abt £1900

Again, at that distance you will need more than 22mm, 28mm will be minimum for most of the way.

But then the BG bloke will only have been a salesman and not have a clue about what is really needed.

Avoid the Ecotec pro.

If I understand correctly, the Viessmann is a 30kW combi, whereas the others are 24kW? So you're not really comparing like with like. If so, 30kW will give you a much better flow rate.

do u think the price quoted by the first guy is reasonable...he also offered to do the first year service and gas certificate for free
