Hi everyone, I am going back to work end of Nov, and would like to lower my hours from 20 to 16.
I receive working tax cred, but will they make up for what I am losing?
Thanks

If they are going to make up for it then it won't happen until next year as it's based on last years income.0

call tax credits & advise them of your new hrs & pay & they should reassess your case. they did so for me when my salary went down when i reduced my hrs0

based on current rules, working 16hrs you are still entitled to WTC. yes, the drop in income should mean your WTC increases, however it wont be on a like for like basis with the drop in income

as the OP is only dropping to 16hrs, whether shes a lone parent or part of a couple, at present she will still be entitled to WTC
its only when the new rules come in, that her relationship status will have any bearing on her entitlement to WTC
