Planning to switch

Me again.
I've been with UK Online for almost a year now, and am planning on switching in the next couple of weeks or so. It's an unlimited 8Mb (capped at 5.5Mb) connection, at £29.99 a month.
Obviously I'm looking for a similar deal that's cheaper, and preferably unlimited because my household uses the Net A LOT. However, I've done some research and the varying opinions of ISPs are baffling. So here I am.
On first thought either Pipex or Virgin sounds good. Don't nobody mention AOHell!

That's expensive even for them. Just looked on their site and they are advertising up to 8 speed with unlimited usage for 24.99. Good way for them to lose custom.
Check out eclipse amongst the others but dont forget the virgin offer of £15 per month which includes free broadband as part of its phone deal for a sim only. If you dont know about it look it up.0 -
Eclipse is looking good at the moment, but I'm a bit concerned about the peak-time usage limits. At the moment I don't know how much I use, and there's a freeloader upstairs who leaves his computer on all day.
A monthly phone contract isn't on the cards right now, and anyway there's only a 6Gb allowance with the free broadband!0 -
Hi
I think you should check out the Eclipse forum, before you sign up

And Virgin are not doing to well at the moment, customers complaining about lack of speed.

Hi HeaddyMX
If you are looking for unlimited downloads.......
From a completely biased perspective, you can get unlimited downloads, up to 16mg (depending on your local exchange) and a wireless router and USB adaptor from Utility Warehouse for £22.99 a month (not including £1.76 monthly membership fee).
There is no minimum contract period (A disconnection charge of £50 will be applied if the contract is terminated within the first 12 months).
These compare very favourably with other offers in the marketplace at the moment.
